You forgot, that zlc blades get a similar speed with less thickness. So if the thickness would be the same, zlc would be faster -> zlc is harder and faster than alc (+ has more catapult)

Saying that Viscaria is a slow blade is very strange. It is not the fastest, but those extremely fast blades like primorac carbon or szlc outer blades are played by almost nobody, especially not by pros. In fact, most pro‘s play a Viscaria type or even a slower blade (all Innerforce blades…)...

They are quite similar with little differences. Much less differences than eg alc vs zlc

Faster is not entirely true: ZLC feels harder and is more flexible, while ALC is more linear This accounts for outer layer and innerlayer, while it will be a little more muted on inner blades

That splintering is the case with every DHS blade, even provincial w968 which I own had that. You need to seal it slightly before first use
