  1. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

I was in Taunton and then Plymouth. I think I've played some players from Grantham, Riley Fraser, the commentator being one of them.

Oh man, it's quite a big question for me as I have a lot to compare to. I mostly started playing in England (I'm half English), where I lived for 6 years and it was a bit of shock to come back to TT in Sweden. But it obviously depends on the city. I started in a tiny town in England, then moved...

Oh wow this gave me a flashback to something like 10 years ago(??) When you did a similar challenge and give away. It was the pancake challenge and you sent me, I believe, two Tenergies for it. Very generous. Oh, I also remember you called me a sandbagger and I was slightly offended and felt I...
  4. Europe Smash 2026, Malmö, 8/8-16

I saw a few of Elias matches live! Incredible play. One of my close friends played against Ranefur before. When we saw that even Lin Shidong struggled against his serves, he felt a bit better about spraying them left and right
  5. Europe Smash 2026, Malmö, 8/8-16

Hey Latej! Sadly I've been dealing with injuries/inflammation in several places on top of other life stress.. so I've barely played in the last few years. I'm itching to play again, I even considered starting again right handed. But I'm having issues with the right side too. Hopefully I'll get...
  6. Europe Smash 2026, Malmö, 8/8-16

I saw that post after I replied to to Gozo. But I agree with Harimoto and what zeio wrote. I'll walk it back a tad as my post was on the extreme side. But generally I think it's more about Felix skill than the grip, but the grip would of course have some effect. But in my eyes it's less that the...
  7. Europe Smash 2026, Malmö, 8/8-16

These different grips having a big effect is overrated imo. As is shown when a pro player plays with a different grip for fun and doesn't have much trouble still playing extremely well. Also, look at Truls grip. As long as there is enough freedom in the swing to play all the different shots...
  8. Europe Smash 2026, Malmö, 8/8-16

Really? Wouldn't his ranking and winning the tournament last week and being in the final right now suggest otherwise?
  9. Europe Smash 2026, Malmö, 8/8-16

I can imagine you highly value the look of someone's technique and ignoring other more subtle but very important things which is why the result is what it is.
  10. Europe Smash Sweden August 14-24 2025

Unbelievable.. I wasn't supposed to be there on the final day but a friend wrote to me last minute to book tickets for the final. So glad I went.

A few of my clubmates are attempting to beat the worlds longest TT rally. TTdaily has the current record of 13 hours and 36 minutes. They're currently at 8 and a half hours in.. let's see if they can make it. Pretty crazy.
  12. Was it a mistake? Should Franziska have been picked for the Olympics?

It's easy to underestimate the skill to perform under pressure. Personally I think I lack it but I've seen it in teammates etc. It raises their level while reducing the opponents. Perhaps it's different at pro level or maybe it's even exacerbated because of real stakes. Still there is clearly a...
  13. Saudi Smash 2024

From what he said and the way he said it there, yeah.
  14. Saudi Smash 2024

"So damn bad" (referring to himself)
  15. WTT Contender Doha 2024
