  1. How do you properly boost your rubbers?

The topsheet cover clearly reduces expansion, but even before they became less tacky I can't see the topsheet preventing expansion unless really pressed down hard on a grippy surface
  2. How do you properly boost your rubbers?

I can't really see how balancing the rubber on a bottle to dry is going to help
  3. Problems with progressive glasses?

I wear varifocals and do find as well as the focus, there is a very slight shift in my depth perception depending on which part of the lens I am looking through. In everyday life this is hardly noticeable, however it is more apparent when trying to follow a fast moving table tennis ball...
  4. Is 10 weeks with a new blade long enough to start getting adjusted to it?

From my experience, I have a reasonable idea if a set up has the potential to work after a couple of sessions and am normally pretty comfortable after about 6 weeks of playing 3 or 4 times a week. However, I would say it takes several months until it 100% feels like my set up.
  5. sanwei rubber cutter without press

Thanks, that's useful information, worst case it shouldn't be difficult to get some longer bolts
  6. sanwei rubber cutter without press

Would it fit in a racket press like the Yashaka Clicky Press or Revolution Nr.3 Racket Press?
  7. We Challenged World's Best Anti Spin Player!

Tell me about it. I changed to long pips at the end of last season. This season my win percentage went up by about 10%, as it has for the last few years, but all of a sudden its the rubber that's responsible, not that I'm doing more training than the people I'm now winning against.
  8. Big Upset with W968 Golden Grand Slam Version

I would put whatever the model (A40?) of Butterfly ball I was briefly using last night in this category too
  9. How much do ping pong coaches charge per hour, where you live?

Here's something I find interesting. There are probably half a dozen or so active table tennis coaches in the nearest city to me, all of which charge the same amount, currently £50 per hour. If you walk into any tennis club, there will be a long list of coaches on the notice board with prices...
  10. My Top 10 best ALL+/OFF- (low intermediate) table tennis blades in 2026

Slower, although I've not tried those ones I have tried a Virtuoso and it is very slightly slower and a little less solid feeling than the Virtuoso+
  11. My Top 10 best ALL+/OFF- (low intermediate) table tennis blades in 2026

I had a Virtuoso+ years ago, it was really nice quality, very well made. I would class it as OFF-.
  12. My Top 10 best ALL+/OFF- (low intermediate) table tennis blades in 2026

OSP Origo, Expert II, Virtuoso and Virtuoso+
  13. Victas Rubber Cutter

I've had a go with it now. Firstly, although it comes in a nice case with 3 spare blades, the instructions are only in Japanese, but there is a video on the QLOP site which shows how to use it. It is quicker and easier to use than a craft knife or scapel as it doesn't require a cutting mat...
  14. The Pro's Equipment - Discussion!

Do you think this might be because of the recent racket infraction she was on the list for? Maybe it was something to do with her pips and she doesn't want to risk another.
  15. Make Joola Great Again (with Pickleball?)

This is understandable, but I think it is fair to say Joola have been quicker than most brands to discontinue lines recently. If a product is no longer profitable or cost effective to produce, then it makes sense to discontinue it, but it can be frustrating for customers. As much as I like...
