Nice post! I only know two methodes but never thought of this. First is with one glue layer and then boosting (mostly for hard tacky rubbers) Second is directly on sponge which is mostly for hybrid/ tensor rubbers like d09c or D05

I think sanwei and Yinhe produce good blades, the quality of craftmanship is accually very good. A recomendation isn't for me, usually I lend my stuff out if someone wants an idea but in the end it is all personal.

In my experience you have two styles, Chinese and European boosting. In China most people first put a single water glue layer on top and then use 3/4 layers, I heard to protect the sponge as Haifu and other reactive boosters breaks down the sponge. European boosting is with a less reactive...

Only thing that comes to mind is Rakza X or Max sponge R7. Boosting one layer might help aswel.
