  • Hi,
Thanks for the reply. I’ll surely order tomorrow. 1. Apolonia & 1. Fretias with same rubbers. And will check the comparison. The one I won’t like I would trade that easily and order another. Though we have 1 distributor of butterfly in whole India & it’s 100% authentic and I have asked butterfly Japan as well for his authenticity. Whole dealers and users buy from him. But I’ll compare the pricing of him and on TT11 as well. Thanks for everything man. Really appreciate your time and words. Thanks once again.
Hi Vishal I’m from the UK.

Apolonia is supposed to be slightly slower but don’t quote me on it as I have not tried the Freitas myself, I am going on the basis of reviews. Dan didn’t really compare both blades but towards end he did mention in terms of speed Freitas sits just faster than Apolonia.
How much are the blades in India? Are they genuine?
If you have option of buying 2 then why not get 1 Apolonia and 1 Freitas and put same rubbers on both set ups and that way you know which u prefer.

It’s a good idea to have 2 Apolonia one for main set up and other for testing other rubbers I agree but at moment u are trying to choose a blade so y don’t u get a Apolonia and Freitas put same rubbers on them and compare. Then u can pick one u like sell the one u don’t and then buy a spare of the one u chose.
Are you sure that Apolonia is slower than Fretias ? If yes then I’ll order 2 units of Apolonia tomorrow it self. 1 will be my main balde with permanent rubbers and 1 will be spare for testing other rubbers in near future. Kindly reply again with your valuable comments.

    Thanks :)
I have seen this videos already and again saw today after your this comment. In Fretias alc video he said in the starting that will compare with Apolonia that how does Fretias alc perform but he never took the name of Apolonia in entire video afterwards and didn’t compare. I was hoping that if he compare than it will be easy for me to buy tomorrow it self.
I am from Delhi. How about you ? Where are you from ? If you are also from India then it’ll be good to talk on phone and hopefully meet soon :)
    Hi,

Thanks for your reply. I have seen both the videos, Just tell me one thing in which video he states that Fretias is faster than Apolonia and slower than viscaria ( he said in Apolonia video or Fretias video ?) I remember that while reviewing VISCARIA with Liam pitchford he stated that viscaria is faster than Apolonia but slower than Timo boll. Waiting for your reply and everything will be clear in which video he said that. That’s buddy for your replies, it means a lot.
I wouldn’t go on reaction times always. Apolonia will be faster than innerforce ALC and it is slower than Freitas.
Watch Dan’s reviews on utube of Freitas and Apolonia as he goes into detail.

He states Freitas is faster than Apolonia but slower than viscaria. For me Apolonia is more than fast enough.
I have Apolonia with dignics 09c on fh and Dignics 80 on Bh. I previously had t05 but found it very lively and bouncy. It’s more than enough to finish point but I found short game not so good so I moved to Dignics for the better game.
Viscaria is a fast blade and problem with fast blades is sacrifice on control.
I also own Innerforce ZLC but I prefer Apolonia. Touch faster but control seems better. Not sure what it is but I just prefer Apolonia.
Mayb if u know someone who has Freitas best thing to do it try. U have already tried Apolonia so u should be able to compare.
I chose Apolonia for the reason it’s inner so should have extra control that Freitas which is outer but off course freitas is ALC which apparently is better for generating spin. I have never used ALC blade. I went from all wood to Innerforce ZLC to now Apolonia.

Where in India are you from?
I want control when I hit topspins in game & all ball should land on table even if I am not in a proper position. I know things depends on technique as well. In general I am asking. So should by Fretias or Apolonia ? DEEAPK please help me to come out from this situation. I have VISCARIA as well and it’s clearly fast. I had Tiago as well but I sold it and it was a bad decision. I can buy again any blade. Thanks and waiting for your reply.
Money is not a problem to buy any blade or rubber. What I am wondering is the reaction time of INNERFORCE is 10.7 and Apolonia is 10.5 how come I felt INNERFORCE is slower to me but after trying Apolonia I felt controlled than VISCARIA? But faster than INNERFORCE ? If I buy Fretias will I be able to control than VISCARIA ?
I was able to hit all topspins very easily around 30 to 40 in a one go in practice but I was not able to kill or finish the point. I am 40 and I have playing technique and play close to mid distance. Like to block topspins and also play topspin rallies. Prefer loops on 3 or 5th ball. I can’t generate power from my hands this is the area where I am lacking. That’s y I felt INNERFORCE slow. And if I try VISCARIA again I was able to hit many topspins and those were brutal according to my opponent and even I know that. But when it comes to really game in match play with VISCARIA not able to control it. So that’s y I thought of choosing Apolonia ZLC or Fretias alc. Both are slower than VISCARIA or boll alc. So please advise me to choose between Apolonia or Fretias ? I know the configuration of both the balde which you have also mentioned above and I am totally aware of.
If your a developing player then I’m not sure how Innerforce ALC with T05 is slow for you. How old are you and how long have u been playing and what’s your style.

Apolonia is supposed to be slightly slower than Freitas ALC but faster than Innerforce ALC. I personally have the Apolonia and use to have T05 on fh and T05FX on Bh but I opted for more control and am using dignics both sides.

    Apolonia is Limba Limba ZLC
    Freitas is Limba ALC Limba.

The difference between them is one is ALC other is ZLC abs Apolonia is inner carbon Freitas is Outer. If your looking for extra speed and control Apolonia may work but going back to my original comment I’m surprised you found INNER ALC with T05 slow.
