There's a whole thread about the tenaly from a few weeks ago worth reading. That angle might be closer to the optimal ergonomics for most people.

Those dotecs must be extremely head heavy while beeing very lightweight compared to other blades with similar structure. So the reason must be the handle, right?

No, they are definitely not. The overall handle construct weighs about the same as a normal wooden handle+the inner piece/layer of the original handle that is cut off. For example, my Violin with original handle was 85 g, with Dotec it's 86 g. And by the way, the "cork" part is not cork, it's some kind of porous plactic sponge with a thin cork layer glued on.
