TIBHAR Felix Lebrun Hyper Carbon blade. Is it a good choice for young players who want a fast, offensive style of play?

Hi everyone!

I’d like to know what you think about the Felix Lebrun Hyper Carbon blade for young intermediate players who want to develop a fast, offensive style of play. I’ve seen a few people around me using this blade, and I’m not sure if it’s easy to control, for example, with fast rubbers like the Evolution MX-P.

If you’ve used this blade, could you share your opinion and tell me which rubbers pair well with it based on playing level?
Thanks!

Maybe some of them let you play with it, so you can get your own impression.

Generally, if you want to play fast, use fast material.
But also generally - without having played with this particular blade but way enough similar constrcutions - even though it´s a carbon inside constrcution, for a player still developing it could be a bit too much too handle, especially with fast and bouncy rubbers.

Here are 3 reviews so you can get an idea of how the blade plays like and hopefully get a better understanding if you want to purchase it:

Young intermediate player? I don’t know much about this player, but I’d say it’s a bad idea. MX-P is even worse. Tibhar Szocs Signature 1 is probably a better choice together with Hybrid MK, you’ll likely develop faster and win more matches.

I found it hard to decide which rubbers to switch to after using the Xiom Vega Europe for about a year. As several players at my club were using Tibhar and my teammates had also started using them, I decided to try a few out and settled on the MX-P as the perfect choice for my forehand. I haven’t been using this rubber for very long, but my offensive play is developing much better and my topspins now have more spin and speed and are harder for my opponents to return. Thanks to this rubber, I’m getting very good results. Still, thanks for the advice!

You get easy speed without proper technique, which can feel good in practice, but in the long run it harms your development since you never really learn to generate your own power.

It’s something I practise with players who are much better than me, and there are several aspects of my game where they tell me I’ve improved quite a lot. In the first week, I did notice the difference in speed, but over time I’ve got used to it and I’ve learnt to adapt to the power required for the different shots. I didn’t expect to improve so much either with such a relatively big change, so I perfectly understand your point of view ;)
