A word of caution here, nuzn 48 and rakza z are very different, rakza z will feel very slow and dwelly compared to nuzn 48, it also throws higher @Grumms :)
Yes, I agree. But testing 2 rubbers too close to each other is pointless. The difference you feel can come from the temperature or what You ate for lunch.

Testing 2 opposite rubbers allows to chose the way you want to go, and then the adjustments come.

Yes this is correct, nuzn is a bit more linear than normal tensors, meaning that it releases the catapult slower (more in stages) and this is why people feel the 2 gears. This is a key characteristic of hybrid rubbers and why more people have started playing with those, slow on the low gear where touch beats power, fast when needed on the high gear.

I think the throw angle of nuzn 48 is lower than the tenergies and durability seems to be good, I think higher than other hybrids. Likely because the topsheet doesnt have much tack to lose and sponge is good quality :)
Could interest me. In match this WE, I lost a player with lower ranking, because I was tense, and I overshoot the table a lot. Next match, I beat a player with way higher rank than me (ex number player in france). Less tense, and it was fine. So, I guess a 2 speed rubber can help in those situation. In practice I can do some FZD BH, but in match never. Like I told you privately, I might stick to 1 playstyle with a more controlled BH. And either Nuzn 48 or H8-80 could do the job.

On other topic, I tried to change my BH movement, to mimic Ma Long's one. At least in my head it looks like it. It makes me reduce the arm and body swing, but increase the wrist rotation. At the end, the ball is more spiny but with less speed (not so much less speed tbh). I did less slice, and people struggled more blocking my BH, despite the ball being slower.

@victormanriquey NEW REVIEW is out, you did not tell us you were posting it ! Let's go and read, and get confuse on my BH rubber choice :)

hahaha yeah I just published it online and now posting about it on reddit and here, you beat me to it! ;)

And yeah, I think a more compact and spinny BH is always a good thing if is not your dominant side! 8-80 and NUZN 48 are also very different though, so you may enjoy nuzn 48 more if you go more compact so that the rubber helps you. I also enjoy glayzer 09c as a step in between those :D

Nuzn 48 interest me a lot. I will try again the H8-80, if I like it, I will stick to it. If not, I will try Nuzn 48. Many players in my club switched to NUZN, but mostly 50 and 55.

Cool and otherwise I have the Tibhar MK at home and I will be testing it too, can be an option as well together with BlueGrip S1 :) So many options ;)

Anyone know the difference between nuzn 48 and rasanter c48? Maybe also xiom omega 8 pro too. I want to decide what rubber I buy for my bh next.
answered on reddit! C48 is the old gen, just like bluegrip S1 is old gen, and new gens are a bit more tensor, like NUZN and BlueGrip J. Seems this is the new modern TT direction for many brands

I see, thanks for the explanation. But what is the difference between the two generation? More tensor like, so its less tacky?

Hello everybody,

Last week I shared the review of the new Andro NUZN 45, and promised you all that very soon I'd have the review of the Andro NUZN 48 ready, I know a couple of you had good interest in that so here it is! I must say it's a great rubber and definitely one that I enjoyed as well. Very different from what I normally use, but nevertheless fun! :)

View attachment 41345

This time I tested it on both the forehand and backhand, not just on the backhand and you can read all about it here: https://www.tabletennisequipmenthelp.com/blog/andro-nuzn-48-review

And if you don't want to read the whole thing, here is the TL;DR as always:
CategoryAndro NUZN 48
WeightMedium-ish, it's about 69g uncut and 47.5g cut to my blade
Sponge & TopsheetMedium tensor sponge with a grippy, very slightly tacky topsheet
Spin potentialHigh, a bit more than NUZN 45
Speed & GearsHigher gears and speed than NUZN 45, no clear speed cap
Throw angleMedium throw, lower than NUZN 45
Drives & LoopsGood quality and fast, and good control still
ServesSpinny, more spin than other tensors I tried before
FlicksDecent, similar to other medium throw and low-ish dwell tensors
PushesGood control and spin, ball doesn't pop up much on short balls
BlocksStable but easier with a relatively closed racket angle
Flat hitsNot bad, better than other harder tackier hybrids
BoostingNo need to boost it at all
Price & DurabilityOn the higher side but still fine, around 50-60€, seems durable

Next up, I will switch the gears a bit and get into the Donic Bluegrip series, so I'm back to a bit tackier rubbers and coming closer to home ;)

Hope you guys enjoy the review and let's discuss any topics/questions/comments that you may have, happy to get feedback and have a good chat!

Take care and thanks,

Victor

Victor what blade did you used?

Thanks & cheers
Felipe

Thanks for Andro NUZN 48 Review.

What blade do you used for the review?
What about the comparison vs Nittaku Fastarc G-1?
Sorry Felipe! Im at borussia dusseldorf 4 days and im a bit behind on messages!

Both DHS WCQ and B2X :)

Fastarc G1 I havent tested so much in depth that I can to into detail sorry, specially because i didnt test it with the same blades! I do think nuzn has more top speed and slower tempo at quiet gears but explodes more when going hard :)

Heavy test of the NUZN 48 tonight. It's on the backhand of a Stiga Cybershape CWT Carbon. The rubber is not tacky at all, quite grippy, but not as much as a D05. It can be very slow if you hit the ball, but also quite fast if yougo full speed. It's a very good rubber to counter spin or blockspin at the table, or to regain initiative if you're engaged in the backhand diagonal. I also could get the initiative back a lot far from the table.

I can compare it to the Telson 100 that I usually play with. They're very close. The NUZN has a very slight higher arc and, maybe, grip the ball a little more, which makes you feel safe to loop. Speed is near, maybe faster for NUZN but can't be sure.

I'm very happy with and it suits me well. It probably won't revolutionise my play, but I'll keep it. It feels more steady/reliable than the Telson 100 boosted, but I can be a simple own trick to my brain. Honestly, the price difference with Telson 100 is not very worth it, but it might give a kind a peace of mind by the fact you don't have to boost it.

It also proves that Loki did a very good job with the Telson 100!
