Any blades still in production similar to Xiom Hugo HAL or Butterfly Moonbeam?

for me the throw of HAL is high too, but i came from Viscaria. if you come from 5ply Allwood, then maybe the throw feels low. i think the review is pretty accurate and in line with my feelings about the blade. but they are feeling based, so...

Got curious on testing D09c (again) from another forum post but this time on the Hugo HAL. I stand by the fact that the throw angle of the Hugo HAL is lower than my Harimoto Super ALC and sometimes "too low". Considering the fact that D09c has a high throw angle that could do a nice pairing with the HAL. D09c was 2.1 and the D05 was 1.9.

Started with some robot practice and the feeling was really similar, however the D09c felt softer than D05 which I was not expecting. The throw angle was similar for those "controlled" conditions. Feeling with D05 was really "crisp" but that might be because the sponge is thinner, however I preferred the feeling of the D05, felt more in control while the D09c felt like a soft mattress.

After some basic drills on the robot I did some practice matches with some teammates and then the rubbers felt really different, throw angle of 09c was definitely higher and that helped me a lot, actually I preferred that, serve receive was a dream and better in my opinion with the 09c. Missed some open up shots because I was afraid to engage the sponge and shoot the ball out of the table. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the lack of feel and the sudden, non linear, jump in power compared to the D05. Opening up was easy but finishing shots meant I needed to adjust my stroke or my bat angle to it the table and in that regard I feel D05 is more linear.

On thing I was not expecting was how the rubber behaved on the backhand. I felt really comfortable with it, was able to put power and pressure with it straight away. I think I barely needed to make any adjustment compared to Hybrid Mk.

I will do some more practices again, mainly on FH but I do enjoy the rubber on the backhand and might switch from the Hybrid MK.
