Heavy test of the NUZN 48 tonight. It's on the backhand of a Stiga Cybershape CWT Carbon. The rubber is not tacky at all, quite grippy, but not as much as a D05. It can be very slow if you hit the ball, but also quite fast if yougo full speed. It's a very good rubber to counter spin or blockspin at the table, or to regain initiative if you're engaged in the backhand diagonal. I also could get the initiative back a lot far from the table.

I can compare it to the Telson 100 that I usually play with. They're very close. The NUZN has a very slight higher arc and, maybe, grip the ball a little more, which makes you feel safe to loop. Speed is near, maybe faster for NUZN but can't be sure.

I'm very happy with and it suits me well. It probably won't revolutionise my play, but I'll keep it. It feels more steady/reliable than the Telson 100 boosted, but I can be a simple own trick to my brain. Honestly, the price difference with Telson 100 is not very worth it, but it might give a kind a peace of mind by the fact you don't have to boost it.

It also proves that Loki did a very good job with the Telson 100!
Yep very similar impressions to mine! I like how easily you could counterloop with it! That was my favorite part :)

Thanks for sharing!

Will be enough, grippy, fast & spinny to use with Andro Novacell OFF/S?

Sabine uses with the 55 but I suspect factory boosted or boosted herself
I think it will depend on your level, I'd lean towards yes and that it will be controlled power, as opposed to NUZN 45 where I suspect will be too few for you @merlin el mago

Thank you Victor!

Some people said it does not grip the ball like 55.
Uf I find that hard to say, I tested also 55 briefly this past week and for me it was the same good NUZN grip, but I dont have real game evidence to compare with 55 or 50, need to test both properly!

In any case, 48 had zero ball slippage, even on very thin brushes where my hurricanes always work but bluegrip fails sometimes. D09c and G09c also zer0 grip issues, MK not sure, testing very soon in depth as well as joola trinity charged/dynamic.

The topsheet on N48 is definitely not the same as on the N50 and N55. N50/55 have opaque red topsheets and N48 is slightly translucent. To me, N50/55 feels almost tacky, N48 does not. Not to say N48 has bad grip, rather that the way that the topsheets interact with the ball depending on type and level of impact is different, though especially considering the differences in sponge hardness I think it is fine that N48 uses a different topsheet. I don't think I would like the N50/55 topsheet on N48 sponge, I think it would feel mushy and spin-sensitive. N48 topsheet feels a touch firmer than that on N50/55, it doesn't wrap/hold the ball quite as well, but the softer sponge with 48 allows topsheet compression into the sponge easier.

There was some work done on 48 and 45 for sure to make them playable for lower levels and also more affordable.

However, the S&M (Scholer-Micke) website states that all NUZNs are capable of generating the same amount of spin.

I don't trust all web shops are telling to sale his products.

As I understand the difference isn't the amount of spin, the difference is wich one grabs better the ball or is more grippy.

Yeah there are several ways of a rubber grips the ball, with soft sponge, with elastic topsheet or with sticky topsheet. Each one haves it's pros and cons.

S&M isn’t just any online shop; S&M = Andro, Andro = S&M. So I suppose there is some logic to their observations.

That’s correct, but these are inextricably linked.
