Several Months with the SANWEI Verdi Inner: The Best Inner ALC Blade SANWEI Has Made

Hi everyone, Andrea here from SANWEI. šŸ™‹ā€ā™‚ļø

I’ve been using the Surge NITROšŸ“ consistently over the past 3 months during training and match play, and I wanted to share a more honest long-term impression of the blade — especially for players wondering whether an affordable outer ALC blade can actually perform at a serious level.

First Impressions — Crisp But Manageable

The NITRO uses a classic outer ALC construction:
Nitro 分层图ę³Øę˜Žęˆåˆ†.jpg

Kiri – Ayous – ALC – Koto

So naturally, the first thing you notice is the direct feeling on contact.

Compared with inner-fiber blades:

The rebound feels quicker,
The feedback is clearer,
and the blade responds faster during topspin exchanges.

But what surprised me is that it never feels overly aggressive or difficult to control.

Some outer ALC blades can feel too stiff or too ā€œsharpā€ for intermediate players. The NITRO keeps the crispness, but softens the overall experience just enough to stay comfortable in real match situations.

Looks like your AI messed up which review it was supposed to post.

Have you seen the AI slop AliExpress generates?
"Layer Composition:
The Surge Nitro uses a seven-ply wood structure (Limba outer plies + Koto inner layers) combined with an integrated carbon fiber layer positioned just beneath the top plya design called ā€œNitro Core Technology.ā€ ...
Balsa Center Layer:
A thin balsa wood strip sits at the very heart of the blade, reducing overall weight while enhancing vibration dampening. It doesn't make the blade softit makes your timing more forgiving under pressure...
How do the dynamics differ between SANWEI Surge Nitro and similar composite blades such as Yasaka Ma Lin Carbon or Joola Dynaryz MTC?"
and of course the "Spin Generation Index (Measured via Spinometer Device @ 2m/s Speed)" measured in "RPM/mm²"

Yes. But I totally agree with the headline. It's the only blade that didn't make go back to my Yinhe V14 Pro. So damn good. Super control and terrific speed when you need :)

Do you know if the handles from the Surge Nitro and Fextra One are identical? In pictures they do look the same...
Bonus question: What about Surge Nitro and Fextra 5X Outer?

RPM/mm^2, my favorite unit. Use it every day.

Yes they are quite similar. Perhaps the Surge Nitro handle is a tiny bit thinner. Never had the Fextra 5x Outer.

Thanks to AI Andrea & deinfluencer PingSunday ..
I try to avoid anything sanwei
Which is of course a pity because Sanwei, like many chinese firms, is selling everything from top quality items to complete rubbish. šŸ˜‹

I have been playing with Nova Carbon this season. Not worse quality than anything else, but when I ordered I got a blade not in production (yet?) and this one was of really high quality…
Haven’t played it yet since it’s a bit too stiff and fast, but it also has a bigger handle that I like a lot. Sooner or later I will play it…

So I think Sanwei is no worse than other brands…

Cheers

Nice de-advertising Sanwei. To everyone reading: Don't buy. Only good blade is the T-5000
Don't know because I haven't tried all their blades BUT after buying the first T5000 I quickly bought a second one, I also think they are an excellent blade and a total bargain too.
