Custom blades for cheap

I found out you could order custom blades to your exact specifications with this wholesale blade manufacturers. I got a w968 clone and will be putting rubbers on it for testing soon. Of course it’s not handmade and therefor wont be perfect but the people who I bought from had a bunch of “levels” of blade so I got “A grade” or supposedly their highest quality.

welp, whenever talking about working with wood, handmade = imperfect
The fact something is made with machines, does not imply its worse quality. Most of the time, if someone gives attention, machine is better.

The cynic in me reads this as "we tried to copy this blade, but every single one of them turned out different. We'll call them different 'levels, and we'll tell every buyer they got the best one'".

I know of 2-3. HaiTTian TT, https://ttlinsport.com/ for example. But I would not expect extreme high quality, they mostly to basic batch stuff.

I got from ttlin honestly feels pretty good and via not through visual inspection it seems pretty high quality. My rubber got delayed in customs (3rd time this has happed in the past year) so I can’t test without non-dead rubbers

Clarifying, @Tyce and me wanted to know, who did make the blade, if thats not a top secret information.

I just checked out TTLinsport. Their blades definitely don't look quite on par with high-end custom makers, but they seem okay. I'd consider trying one if they're cheap enough. Have you ever bought from them?

I got from ttlin (https://ttlinsport.com/) and it was only $60 for a “a grade” blade including shipping

I bought a BOER blade at Aliexpress for NZ$ 10

I have a couple blades in transit - they were very fast and responsive over WhatsApp though it helps I speak the language. Approx cost for all wood blade is $40 USD.

I think the value here is in testing compositions before locking in a more expensive build with the more reputable custom makers. And sure if you can find something cheap that matches what you want from AliExpress go for it

Played with it today and it felt good,I played with c2 on fh and g1 on bh was very comparable to long 5 in terms of characteristics it did not have the enlarged head I was hoping for all in all I would recommend. Biggest downside is that the handle was VERY small and uncomfortable to hold

Why copy? I believe the main advantage of a custom-made blade is that it’s crafted exactly to your specifications—something you don't get with mass-market manufacturers. Things like the layer combination, thickness, weight, and dimensions. I decided to go the custom route myself because I couldn't find anything similar from the big brands. Plus, it actually cost me less than the Nittaku Acoustic I had been eyeing.

Judging from the account above you, I'd say making clones/copies is probably what makes the money come in - the custom blades are where the fun really starts.

I simply referenced your post to show that mine was a sort of continuation of yours. That said, I agree with your post; I just took the idea in a slightly different direction.
