WMY did everything to prepare for this match. She basically tried to kill the point quickly to the point Sato could not counter it. Different strategy today compared to the last time she played against her.

Expedite rule kind of lame in its current format. WMY played great. Will be interesting to see if SYS can reclaim her #1 spot leading up to the next Olympics.
100%.
I also watch a lot of MMA. They don't have a good handle on how to force action from tactical karate point fighters or non aggressive wrestlers. It's a very similar issue. TT is nowhere near as bad though. we're not seeing two pushers just refusing to miss here. It's exciting stuff.
Misuse of the spirit of the idea imo.

If Sato could get the score to 9:9 or even 8:10 in G2 to suppress the expedite rule, then she might have had a chance even if she were to drop that game. Her momentum and along with her morale dissipated after the expedite rule kicked in. As in USA GS 2026, JNT needs to help Sato and Hashimoto work out something for the expedite rule.

Sora Matsushima will be a grand slam champion, first one since Ma Long. Calling it now.

Unless WCQ isn't done yet.

But I think he is.
But Harimoto is the #1 enemy of the CNT per ML, HS, HYC and most importantly, @zeio and Tieba. How did you arrive at your contrary opinion?

Possibly through study of sports development fundamentals. He grew up in a household offering art, music, sports and free time. Didn't specialize until later. Way better than hot housing.
It's not in dispute at this point.

It sometimes is fate that Harimoto has been trying so hard for so long and was never world No 1, and Sora seemed to get it quite easily.

I stated a prediction, not an opinion.

And Harimoto is only the "enemy" because he's perceived as a defector and acts obnoxiously.

Meanwhile, Sora's enemy still remains his own self. He'll grow up eventually. When he does, everyone else is effed.
