    For the OP. - Agree on the rubber option for this. Initial rubbers should hard, maybe med-hard to develop proper strokes and eliminate or lessen bad form and habit.     Same. More difficult for me to remove old glue from esn rubbers, chinese rubber is easier. and after a bit of shrinkage from esn - that alignment psshh

    Oh ok. I use xiom sealant on limba and koto top ply. My clipper still splintered- and thats only after few changes

    I missed that comment. In that case, M1 should not be on the list I commented earlier - to bouncy. The yes M2 and M3 are good option - as his preference is soft.

    Baracuda, Rakza7, M1 and M2. M3 is soft for a fh - tho it has that bounce (at least for me)

    Maybe you can try yasaka rigan spin.. good control, you can put everything back the other side. Good amount for return or sudden attack - good all around rubber (just my experience)

    I'm pretty sure the coach told you Clipper is better but did not tell you to buy clipper - knowing you have a fextra 7. Also those rubbers would be too hard for you

    I've been there. It depends on who are currently playing, or try ask some player s you see is somehow beginner or beginner with experience (tho this is seldom - as most are intermediate) - all else fail try and ask the coach for drills or matchplay so they can assess you (if there is an open table)

    Since you are a returning, maybe you can start at 7ply wood. clipper, pd437 or samso force pro black. No need to get 5ply anymore. for rubber s try some Chinese/Chinese rubber to familiarize full stroke again
