  1. Donic Skachkov Carbon

It’s definitely a great and quite unique blade (in terms of shape and softer feel). Try to find one around 87 grams. I have four different blades: 81, 87, 87, and 91 grams — and I like the 87-gram versions the most (which is why I bought a second one). They feel the most balanced, especially if...
  2. Donic Skachkov Carbon

Yeah, but I haven’t had the chance to compare them one-to-one, especially with the same type of rubbers. I can say for sure that the shape is different — this applies to both the ST handles and the blade head in general. I suspect the Skachkov will have a slightly crisper feel. I also have...
  3. Donic Skachkov Carbon

    What weight?
  4. Your go-to 42.5° rubber (Fastarc C1 Alternative)

On Taobao Aurus Soft costs almost as Joola Tronix or Xiom Korea btw.
  5. Your go-to 42.5° rubber (Fastarc C1 Alternative)

Hm, interesting. I was under impression that CMD is kinda 42.5 meaning in Joola's terms.
  6. Your go-to 42.5° rubber (Fastarc C1 Alternative)

Did you compare it with the Tronix CMD? Tronix seems to be more budget-friendly :-)
  7. Boosting European rubbers

I have a 6-month-old Fastarc C1 (which is quite a soft rubber). I was re-gluing it to another blade, and it shrank badly (by at least 5 mm). I decided to remove all the glue (which was the challenging part) and apply a couple of thin layers of booster. Surprisingly, it reacted really well. The...
  8. Your go-to 42.5° rubber (Fastarc C1 Alternative)

I recall Europe being less grippy than Fastarc C1. But I played with it a couple of years ago
  9. Your go-to 42.5° rubber (Fastarc C1 Alternative)

Hey guys, I’ve been playing with a 6-month-old Nittaku Fastarc C1 on my backhand, and I like it quite a lot. But, thanks to the EJ virus, I’m eager to test something new. I’ve already ordered Xiom Korea (which is 45°), but I’d still love to discuss other good soft rubbers worth trying. On the...
  10. Donic Original True Carbon differences in production?

What do you think is the closest alternative to the Donic Original True Carbon? I tried mine today with the FL handle and really liked it—except for the handle, which feels too small and short. I'm considering ordering the ST version, but I also want to check if there are better (possibly...
  11. Switch away from Chinese FH rubber, what to choose?

Update from the topic starter :-) I chose the Yasaka Rakza Z Extra Hard and I'm quite happy with it. I had to adapt over a few training sessions because it has a higher throw angle and some catapult effect. I think it gives more margin for error while still keeping most of the benefits of...
  12. Zhang Jike ALC vs Timo Boll ALC

Thank you very much! It looks like there's no point in getting the Timo Boll ALC in my case—I definitely don’t want anything with more hardness. By the way, the FL handle on the ZJK ALC is one of the most comfortable I’ve tried among all the blades I’ve tested.
  13. Zhang Jike ALC vs Timo Boll ALC

Lol, I forgot that I've read this one, sorry. But anyway, would be glad if any more recent users will post their opinion here.
  14. Zhang Jike ALC vs Timo Boll ALC

Do you know which wings are bigger?
  15. Zhang Jike ALC vs Timo Boll ALC

I can't find a direct comparison. Could you give me a link please?
  16. Zhang Jike ALC vs Timo Boll ALC

Has anyone tested these two blades (preferably with the same weight)? What differences did you notice? I own the Zhang Jike ALC and am considering trying the Timo Boll ALC (I like squarish handle), but I'm not sure if there are any significant differences between them.
  17. Experience with some other Loki rubbers - Arthur China, GTX Pro (inc)

Sorry, I played with it around 6 months ago, so don't recall the exact difference
  18. Experience with some other Loki rubbers - Arthur China, GTX Pro (inc)

Do you mean if there are any problems with the rubber? Not at all. I used the booster again after 1.5 months and there were no problems. In general I think this rubber doesn't need too much booster. Probably one layer is enough.
  19. Experience with some other Loki rubbers - Arthur China, GTX Pro (inc)

Found these photos on my desktop, can't remember if I posted them yet. Loki Rxton 3 Pro sponge and response to booster. Quite a nice rubber for the price. Elastic top-sheet and porous sponge.
  20. Switch away from Chinese FH rubber, what to choose?

Yeah, this one was in my mind as well, but I've never tried it, will take a look
