  1. Found the perfect setup for everyone unless you're a pro

Finally someone who is convinced his setup is right! The fact that you think it is right for everyone, is just a really tiny minor detail, don't worry about that for now!
  2. ITTF-ATTU Asian Teams Championships 2025, Bhubaneswar, 10/11-15

Nice match. Took me a while to find, it's table 2. HYS led 8:4 in 3rd set, nice edge at set-ball ;-) RJS did hand-shake with Javen though, after he hand-shaked his team. Also nice match.
  3. ITTF-ATTU Asian Teams Championships 2025, Bhubaneswar, 10/11-15

  5. Ignore function

@Tony's Table Tennis you know I respect you, but I think here you should just chill out ;-) If you are angry, play this to ventilate, and then do some slow breathing exercises ;-) See you all IN Germany!
  6. What are the best scissors to cut rubber?

I mean you can bend it a bit. The overlap I do is quite small, essentially by bending the box-cutter, you press it on the edge of the blade, but cutting point on rubber is not really on the edge, the cutter is bent a bit, so there is this small overlap, which you can control to be the same...
  7. What are the best scissors to cut rubber?

Yes I did that, for me the box cutter 9mm width works the best. However I don't do the 2mm overlap anymore. With box cutter 9mm, since it is flexible, you can achieve small overlap, which is right about what I need. Then I put a bit of tape, which actually really helps, against those small hits...
  8. Max sponge?

He's right. Be glad you have him... And even though I don't think QM is the last word, this time they are right. Of course please substitute the intended verb ;-)
  9. China Smash 2025

Sorry for chiming in without reading the thread - what did WCQ pointing after the match-ball mean? Anyway, my short perspective, I love watching WCQ even a tiny bit more than ML, then is a gap ;-) Well Matsushima is also fun, he needs to beat the arrogance and thinking "I am the talented one"...
  10. Importance of gluing well

 :ROFLMAO: And I still didn't tell you that I wait for 6 hours before I cut the rubber ;-) Anyway, seriously, if you want to speed up, just use the hair-dryer on "medium" temperature - not the highest. But I can't convince you, use the highest temp., just note everything will become hotter...
  11. Importance of gluing well

Yes, you can also use hair-dryer to speed up if you need to. I prefer not to. I usually have enough time to let it dry really properly. As @Zwill says it's important... It's personal way, but if the 2nd layers are drying for 2 hours while I do something else, it's zero problemo ;-) EDIT: Of...
  12. Ultimate set-up for noobs

Common, what you see here is just a beginner, Gozo™ will materialize it right into your place, probably even with 2+2 layers... Forzaaa!!!
  13. Importance of gluing well

Yes, just 2 days ago I had a "heated" discussion with 2 of my club members. They discouraged me to put more layers of the glue, that it will feel wrong, won't feel the wood and what not. I was glueing new rubbers - G09C and Glayzer - for a 3rd club member - and of course I did put 2+2 layers...
  14. How to get the upper hand in bh-bh exchanges?

This happens to me too, and I try to ingrain 1 thing, to react to the power that is coming at me, by letting it push me a bit back. Sometimes I stubbornly stay, but the other guy is more powerful. I need to step back a bit (or better be stepped back a bit), this small distance gives your more...
  15. Want to correct my blade : please give your thoughts

If someone starts 2 identical threads, it's not that I consider 1 of them to be SPAM. I consider BOTH of them to be SPAM, because that person is wasting our time! IMO, such behavior should be strongly discouraged, for the sake of TTD. But, that's just me. There are more generous people here it...
  16. Choosing Blades and Rubbers for a Beginner Table Tennis Player

If you want to go fancy and cheap, I'd suggest this blade, and Yinhe Mercury 2 rubbers, medium for FH and soft for BH so that you can try to feel the difference. You get the whole package under 17 EUR, still cheaper than just 1 rubber you are thinking about. There are other cheap 5-ply blades...
  17. Xiom Ice Cream blades, AZX Review

I know nothing about these chinese rubbers, you're lucky I guess you know how to get them in China. But G09C I think could tick the boxes, it's easier to play than the D09C for me (but I know certain Badger who uses D09C on both sides ;-) ). Anyway it definitely is slower than D09C, but it can...
  18. Xiom Vega China VM Review

Does it feel similar to C55? I loved that rubber, but the durability is so bad... The problem (and solution) is that I won't try any of those rubbers at least till April, and the amount grows, I also want to try the Donic J1. But luckily, I am disinfected now... EDIT: Ideally you bring them...
