  1. coming back after a break, need help with choosing equipment

yes, I would highly recommend it for learning forehand technique, more than Tornado V5. Volant is harder, denser, and has better grip. I think its a great rubber to learn to spin and impact the ball.
  2. coming back after a break, need help with choosing equipment

Volant is Chinese rubber. Its not at all lightning fast, it might be just right for you. Moon 12 is faster than volant
  3. coming back after a break, need help with choosing equipment

Which sanwei 75 are you referring to? the 75 inner? 75 outer? 75 PBO? Reactor V5 is ok...but I would recommend Volant. Volant is around the same price, but way way better. Moon 12 is good.
  4. Experience with some other Loki rubbers - Arthur China, GTX Pro (inc)

That's strange. Why is China only available in red? I thought this was supposed to be a forehand rubber
  5. Another DHS Hurricane 8-80 38D Backhand Review

How tacky is yours? I have H8-80, and I feel that it is overly tacky. It would be bouncier and easier to use if it was less tacky.
  6. Best Chinese sticky rubbers that don't need boosting

How does it play compared to single hardness rubber? How is rebound and throw angle?
  7. Best Chinese sticky rubbers that don't need boosting

I just can't stand the low throw angle. I prefer the Battle Max
  8. Best Chinese sticky rubbers that don't need boosting

Dianchi seems expensive though. Is it worth the $30?
  9. Best Chinese sticky rubbers that don't need boosting

I would vote for Yinhe Big Dipper and Jupiter 3. And Double Fish Volant
  10. Stiga Dragon Power 52.5, 55, 57.5 rubber?

Dragon Power is really good rubber, but I still don't feel any difference from Dragon Grip.
  11. China market-only rubbers?

My friend showed me his Taobao app on his phone. They had DF Volant for 35 rmb DF Polestar S for 68 rmb Telson 100 for 88 rmb Yinhe Moon Speed 53 for 97 rmb Xuperman for 117 rmb Aurora Max for 48 rmb And they had all the other popular aliexpress rubbers for really good prices: Jupiter 3, Big...
  12. New Stiga DNA Helix review

I tried the Helix Platinum on a friend's paddle today (actually Victor's paddle). It was good, but again I honestly didn't feel much difference from the old Platinum rubber or G1 or anything like that. It's just a pretty standard tensor to me.
  13. Any news and info on Zhang Jike's New donic bluegrip j line?

So i tried the J1 today on a mate's paddle. What is the sponge thickness. It looked really thick like 2.3 or 2.5. anyone know the actual thickness. Apart from that, the rubber played really nicely. Great throw angle, good spin, speed, comfortable. The only thing is it feels 99% the same as...
  14. 2024 Sanwei Target 3 National

Wow I've never seen that black package Target before. To me, "medium hard" always means H37-H38. That is very interesting that Shein sells table tennis equipment. I've never seen that before. I thought they only do clothing. But that silver package Target is excellent, I love that rubber...
  15. How good are these cheap Butterfly knock-offs?

I tried this. They are comparable with something like Yinhe Moon or Loki Kirin 1. They have a very grippy topsheet. The rebound is medium-low but improves with booster. Altogether they play quite well, especially if you can boost it.
  16. Tibhar Evolution low throw angle?

Yes my experience lines up closely with yours. I played a bunch of matches today with MXD, and I just can't use it. I have to pull back all my bh shots because I'm afraid they will go into the net. Very uncomfortable.
  17. Yinhe E.moon

sounds cool. you should try it. It says that it was given by a Chinese national team player directly. Moon is overall a pretty good rubber. I don't know how thickening the sponge will affect it.
  18. Yinhe E.moon

sounds interesting. can you provide a link. I can't imagine Yinhe with a 2.7 sponge. Yinhe sponges are very hard
  19. Best FH in the Eyes of Former and Current Japanese Players

These quotes are actually super interesting. It's interesting that the team insiders have quite clear opinions on the standouts within the team. Everybody regarded WLQ's fh are the most powerful. There seems to be pretty clear consensus that Ma Lin had the best serves and the most accurate...
  20. What is most bouncy Chinese rubber in your experience.

are you sure? Focus 3 is very old, I think from like 2007 or something. I remember it being very slow
