    Downgrading from fibers I will go for a 7 plies allwood blade like Nittaku Acoustic as best and as second Stiga Clipper.

    Yes but there are more things, isn't the same a harder sponge than a softer sponge like isn't the same an elastic vs a hard topsheet.

    There is a lot of difference going from 5 ply all wood blade to an 7 plies ALC blade, my advice is go to a 7 plies all wood like Stiga Clipper or Nittaku Acoustic, about Butterfly only like fiber blades.

    Not true, some long pips have a lot of grip and can chop more gears than only topspin balls. Will be truth if the long pips are frictionless but these aren't allowed or banned by ITTF.

    You can try with 0.5 sponge, you loose reversal & disruption but you will have more gears playing mid-far from the table. Also my advice is not use dampening sponge because your long pips behave near antis so you will loose a lot of gears.

    I feel Nittaku Fastarc G-1 very insensitive to incoming spin and very good to short play, serves & counters.

    I contacted Sergio to made me a blade but 1 year of waiting list is a lot of time for me. I like the weight 86.9 gr, are you sure hinoki doesn't made more spin? is flex, hard or stiff the blade? I tried Kiri core and always my feeling is more speed than ayous core.

    Why? It all depends how skilled is defending or attacking, you can win both ways.

    I think to learn is better G09C because is slow but G-1 it's a very very good rubber than with a proper blade & coach could do all the gears very well.
