I think it's just a question of technique. If you loop with the racket at an open angle and moving forward, you create a low and straight arc that is faster. If you loop with a tighter angle with a slightly upward swing you create a higher slower arc.
I really don't know if the person in the video is creating backspin or just using the opponent's spin and adding sidespin or corkscrew spin but there is some backspin in the return in my opinion.

Whenever I tried to use body rotation on my backhand I lost my timing completely and then I gave up. Maybe I was trying to use too much. I'll try to use more body gradually, thank you very much. But why not extend my arms, that makes me lose stability? Thank you again
