  1. Cheap tensor like rubbers?

+1 for Yinhe Mercury 2. You can take e.g. red soft and black medium, each for cca 6EUR, on Aliexpress, e.g. Playa PP store... Cheers.
  2. A weird question relating to muscle memory

Thinking during the rally doesn't work, at least for me. And most often, any form of explicit thinking, like a clear idea that comes into the mind, like, "oh, now I have more time, I'll put more power and go cross-court" usually leads to miss-hit. Miss-hit a ball which you easily normally play...
  3. Xuperman Powerplay-x: A Rubber by Xu Xin

I think that is not always true. E.g. my training partner has H3 nat BS H39, and the top-sheet is actually softer than my X P-X top-sheet. Also my Rxton 9 rubbers have slightly softer top-sheet than X P-X. That said, I like all 3 very much. Cheers.
  4. What are some cool newer rubbers on aliexpress to test?

I just found my earlier post: The Xuperman is only 1g cut heavier than DFVP, so both are a bit heavier than e.g. H3 BS. It was DFVP H40, and Xuperman was stretched (due to boosting) and overlap cut, but actually so was DFVP, so the diff. will not be dramatic I think. I like Xuperman more than...
  5. What are some cool newer rubbers on aliexpress to test?

Imo, all these need a bit of booster. The dense ("no" bubble) sponge is better with it (I use only 1 layer). The X P-X is not very light, but still not as heavy as Nittaku H3PTB. But normal H3 is lighter, if you need it... My setup is now 200g, blade is 91,5g now (it was 93g but needed repair)...
  6. What are some cool newer rubbers on aliexpress to test?

I know, it's more of a suggestion of what you can experiment with. E.g. some Japan or Korean players are also not very tall. You'll find the balance in time... Understand... I mean I disagree, because I like R9 more than these, but understand ;-)
  7. What are some cool newer rubbers on aliexpress to test?

You like DFVP on the FH, you'll like X P-X even more. Btw. what's your opinion on Rxton 9 40,5 for FH? And, a bit unrelated, but when I'm at it - in one of your recent videos, when you FH loop, one issue - well, imo - is that at the point of contact your right leg is completely stretched. You...
  8. Best "neutral" rubbers to improve offensive technique

Vega Pro on the BH is a good choice, imo. After you're done with it, try Glayzer. For me, the best BH rubber so far. Cheers.
  9. WTT India? Best of luck to WTT...

Hijacking the thread, a bit intentionally, when I see the fighting ;-) I'm visiting Trivandrum during 12.7. - 24.7., for the TUG2025 conference. Would love to visit some TT club there and have a hit, if possible. If you are from the area, and are interested, send me a PM. India is the future!
  10. Most fragile rubber?

Well, when the rubber finally reaches that state, the owner is nearing nirvana, and keeps very very silent!
  11. A stiff all-wood with a soft feel?

As others mentioned, these two things really are not the same. Check Sergio's web-page.
  12. Visit, meet and play

Finally (although perhaps I'm going a bit over my pay grade by saying it, but it's great), a certain well known UK gentleman and his team will visit our place, on 2.9.-3.9., and will play TT with us, two evenings. This is really cool... We're looking forward... I don't post videos of myself, but...
  13. Visit, meet and play

Relatedly, perhaps some of you remember, I mentioned there will be czech TT-forum meeting, this time in Slovakia, near Bratislava, 18.7-20.7. I can tell you this is always a great action. Unfortunately this time I can't attend, because I too have to visit Trivandrum, India, for the TUG 2025...
  14. Visit, meet and play

My friend Thanh is going to visit his family in Saigon, so we thought perhaps we can arrange a meeting for him to meet some of you and play TT with you... I was thinking about @longle, and other Vietnamese TTD members... He'll arrive to Saigon on 2.7., and leave on 13.7. to Trivandrum, so time...
  15. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

Thanks, yes, some people are very talented, joy to watch... Still, I wanted to say - well, it's my hypothesis, doesn't have to be true - that I think that some people who are not really gifted muscularly - it sort of forces them to compensate by having a clean and efficient technique and power...
  16. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

I see that a bit differently, and I think that your interpretation of the "every action there is an equal and opposite reaction" here is a bit misplaced... But let me not go into this now, it's not that important and not what I want and am able to articulate right now (after a celebration ;-)...
  17. Soft vs Hard Rubbers – Which One Gives Better Blade Feeling?

Feeling is good, but playing is more important ;-) Let me explain... If the rubber is too soft, then on harder shots (which for most people is more achievable on the FH), the rubber will "bottom-out", and the ball will go too low/straight, it will not make the arc you need, it will go out, or...
  18. Xiom new collection (2025)

By chance, did you have one of the J&H C rubbers (C55, C52.5, C57.5)? I'm curious if the durability will be similar...
  19. What rubbers have the strongest reaction to booster?

This will be a bit unfair. The DFVP was kind of old, I had it on my spare blade, didn't use it much, and now, off-season, I decided to spend it, among others. The first one was C55, I mentioned it earlier. The DFVP was second one, it rel. quickly turned kind of greyish when I started playing...
  20. What rubbers have the strongest reaction to booster?

Anyway, 1 more comment. I just glued a Xuperman H40 rubber (not new) to replace the DFVP H40, and I boosted it slightly to make it flat... And it is now bigger than my blade head, so I'll cut the overlap... This happens always... And that is also why if I do 2 such cycles, the rubber will tend...
