  1. Ovtcharov waves Donic bye-bye

Here must be excited to finally being able to ditch the Bluefire M1T
  2. New Equipment (Rubbers & Blades) 2020

In my opinion, the best fit in this category so far is Spinlord Waran 2.
  3. Blades with Thin Handles

    Darker Esteem
  4. Upgrade to a new bat - moving from inverted to pimple rubber on my backhand

The 802-40 is a good first short pimpled rubber when changing over. The traditional Spectol is also a good starting point. From there you can experiment if you want more knuckle ball effect (harder to control, more difficult for opponents) or a cleaner direct driving/blocking short pip (easier...
  5. OSP Ultimate II – A 7-ply blade for a controlled spin-offensive game-style

This would be my assessment as well.
  6. OSP Ultimate II – A 7-ply blade for a controlled spin-offensive game-style

It's been quite a while since I tested the Long 3, so take the following with a grain of salt. I recall Long 3 as having a similar softness on ball impact, but being a little stiffer (feeling thicker), and not having as strong a kick as the OSP U2. Similar spin potential, but with the...
  7. OSP Ultimate II – A 7-ply blade for a controlled spin-offensive game-style

This IS how the blade looks like: https://tabletennis-pingpong.equipment/home/34-843-osp-ultimate-offensive-blade.html#/25-handle-fl You can pause the video at 0:26 for ply composition. I don't have a high quality camera/video, nor a pro studio with good lighting, sorry.
  8. OSP Ultimate II Plus

OSP Ultimate II Plus (I tested this blade before the OSP Ultimate II) I have tested many 7-ply blades for Tabletennis11.com, including the DHS Hurricane Long III, Nittaku Ludeack, Donic Ovtcharov Senso V1, Stiga Clipper WRB, and Stiga Ebenholz NCT VII to name just a few. All of them are high...
  9. OSP Ultimate II – A 7-ply blade for a controlled spin-offensive game-style

OSP Ultimate II – A 7-ply blade for a controlled spin-offensive game-style In my continued search for the ‘perfect’ 7-ply all-wood blade that supports an aggressive FH-oriented playing style with spinny opening loops and powerful loop-drives, controlled aggressive BH blocking and driving with...
  10. Nittaku Hurricane Pro 3 Turbo Blue

I've noted that the non-adhesive Donic rubber protectors that I use with my H3-like topsheets get greasy with time, something that I attribute to boosters moving out into the topsheet.
  11. Nittaku Hurricane Pro 3 Turbo Blue

Here is my line of thinking: Since the rubbers need to be able to pass the VOC-sniffer, the booster must be largely non-volatile (although this particular rubber stinks = volatile !?), which would render sealed bags a moot point except for minimize oxidation of the topsheet. I think the boosters...
  12. Nittaku Hurricane Pro 3 Turbo Blue

You have just "outed" the other drawback of this rubber (the first one being its weight). The boosting effect starts dying off 40h, after which it becomes increasingly more difficult to play with. I still managed to use it ~100h for practice play. I tried to reboost it lightly, but that did not...
  13. Top 5 Most Popular Table Tennis Rubbers of All Time

Butterfly Sriver, Yasaka Mark V, Donic Vario, Tenergy 05, Hurricane 3 - and as an outsider: TSP Spectol

  16. pips questions

In my hands, the Spinlord Waran or Waran 2 last forever as in 2+ years (with the exception of chipping along the edges), whereas the Nittaku Moristo SP Ax's already soft sponge started to feel exceptionally soft after three months, as if the sponge had lost its resistance. I am pretty sure that...
  17. DHS 301 vs DHS long 5?

I bought a HRT Rosewood NCT VII "clone" which had absolutely nothing in common with a real NCT VII. I wouldn't be getting my hopes up.
  18. Nittaku Hurricane Pro 3 Turbo Blue

I did, using the Seamon booster and it did not bring back the same feeling. It was playable and not bad, but not like the fresh-out-the-package rubber (the factory-boosted feeling persist markedly longer than for ESN rubbers, ~2-3 months).
  19. Nittaku Hurricane Pro 3 Turbo Blue

Glad you like it. See if you agree with my review on TT11.
  20. Nittaku Hurricane Pro 3 Turbo Blue

Yes. This one. I don't know the one from Ebay.
