  1. WTT Feeder Lagos 2026 (15 May - 19 May 2026)

Cocona is playing great table tennis having just turned 14 in April. Not only has she beaten top seeded Kaho, she beat Chien Tung Chuan of Taiwan 3-0 to make the WS SF where she faces compatriot Asuka Sasao. In MS, Yuto Kizukuri is into the SF.
  2. WTT Feeder Lagos 2026 (15 May - 19 May 2026)

Cocona takes out top seed Kaho Akae. Kaho must be having nightmares of playing her juniors. First, losing to Mao Takamori at the selection trial for the WTTTC and Cocona Muramatsu.

14 yr old Cocona Muramatsu passes through qualification rounds and makes the most of her main draw by beating Nomin Baasan of Sweden 3-2.
  4. Thread about Japanese Players

It's a risk, but I think Satsuki is likely to remain in the top 3 Japanese women. She's top seed at Contender Lagos next week and Contender Skopje in June. And perhaps with Hina playing less (passing on Lagos and Skopje), she wants to enter the selection tournament to secure a spot for the...
  5. ITTF WTTTC Finals London 2026, 4/28-5/10

Some random final thoughts. Miwa had a nice breakthrough match against WMY. Hina had a frustrating final, but what can you do against SYS when she plays like that. OTOH, Hina scored more points against SYS than Miwa did. Hina needs to get stronger, recover faster between shots, maintain...

Miwa moves up 2 spots to WR#3. Hina moves back into the top 10 at WR#10. Honoka moves up a spot to WR#14. Togami moves up 3 spots to WR#15.

  10. ITTF WTTTC Finals London 2026, 4/28-5/10

As NL said, Honoka and Hina have never beaten WMY (or SYS). But KM lost 3-0 to Japanese chopper Hitomi Sato. KM has a 3-1 record vs. Hina. Hina did win their last match, but it was a close 3-2, 13-11. Choosing Honoka for match 3 was the right choice.
  11. ITTF WTTTC Finals London 2026, 4/28-5/10

Let's go Honoka!!! I'm actually surprised China chose KM. KM is 0-2 vs Honoka though those matches were a number of years ago. WYD's last match vs. Honoka was WYD winning 3-0.
  12. ITTF WTTTC Finals London 2026, 4/28-5/10

Miwa is in beast mode early and often. Love it!!
  13. ITTF WTTTC Finals London 2026, 4/28-5/10

The last time they made the finals was in 2016, and they lost to China (Fan Zhendong Fang Bo Ma Long Xu Xin Zhang Jike). The last time they won the title was in 1969. They've got a chance to make history if they can bring their 'A' game.

  19. ITTF WTTTC Finals London 2026, 4/28-5/10

You can't see the value in having Satsuki Odo on Mixed Teams? She's a silver medalist in XD at the 2025 WTTC. She's 2024 Asian Championships Gold Medalist in WD and has also won 4 WD titles with Miwa and the pair made it to the finals of the 2025 Euro Smash. She's also beaten WMY, a player who...
