    Suds is right better not tacky. Wash them early and often till the sticky is mostly or gone. Warm water and soap is super easy Until washed, mine are too sticky to where they can peel off the lettering if stuck together

    Actually if your rubber is dead already you can bring life back with it temporarily. It replaces the moisture in the rubber for a while. It makes the topsheet look and feel new. If you covered the main surface in plastic, I don't think you're going to hurt the lettering part with it
