Nice! That must be the 9 ply mahogany core. That one was definitely a big question mark on how it would play I knew the mahogany measures kinda funky. Im glad it seems to be working well for you!

Yeah that’s the problem it’s the old growth that you really want. I have a blade from Charlie that’s a single ply made of redwood from the old bay bridge. That’s pretty awesome though you were able to get that piece from them and even better they cut it for you to size!

I’ve seen some of your redwood cores in person. I really like it remember the grain being true vertical and nice deep color. I’m jealous I think if I remember right where your located you have good access to all kinds of cypress. Not so much over here in Sacramento. Sad haha
