Is it more awkward to perform the drive for JPEN since they seem more head-heavy? CPEN players like Toshio Tasaki and Kaii Yoshida have no issue using it, but players like Chiang Peng Lung and Ryu Seung Min would rather punch.

TPB is just fun to use and I wonder if it is better for traditional penholders to play CPEN or JPEN. I've seen CPEN use it more and more reliably (Toshio Tasaki, Kaii Yoshida, etc), and JPEN players mostly use the push and pivot to forehand (Ryu Seung Min, Chiang Peng Lung, Lee Jung Woo, etc)...

I was scrolling around online and found this blade: "Xiom MUV Prospeed - Japanese Penhold Monoblade," a 1-ply JPEN in Sapphire - Lightweight Wood. I've only seen 1-plys in Ayous and Hinoki. Has anyone tried this? I'm curious of how this compares to hinoki or how the feeling is etc?

Recently tried the Palio AK47 Blue on my FH with my Sanwei 75 alc cs and it seemed to me to be too fast. I'm planning on going back to the type of tacky Chinese rubbers I used to use. The 729 Aurora suited me well. Do you guys have in mind something similar but maybe hard sponge, tacky, cheap...
