And added weight, which can be even bigger obstacle for already often heavy rubbers. So perhaps judging them with no booster or minimal amount of it to make rubber good would be valuable.
A bit too many variables, I know 🙂
To be honest with properties like reaction to booster and tackiness it looks more like a personal favorites list but nothing to do with D09c as D09c get boosted less frequently and only mildly tacky.
Comparison of playing characteristics and how much adjustment in strokes is required would be...
For inverted rubbers a flat layer over pimples reduces the difference. For pips out rubbers once in a while block may produce very strange bounce. I guess it's less when chopping.
Not much when it's like on the 2nd picture with hill like dome. Interesting that I never had such tube like dome as on the 1st pic after 2 layers, I put as least booster as possible though.
It was enough to turn H8 into a cannon.
P. S. Does Igor complain about treated long pimples as well...
OK, let's say 39d, which is about 52 ESN or 42 BTY like G09c. Glayzer has very elastic top sheet, which grabs ball really well, likely not the best for powerful topspin to topspin rallies but works well in over the table and close to the table game.
Why? You can send it more forward than upward. For short balls below the table it's more important to grab the ball and keep it long on the rubber while making arc with your hand and accelerating. I'd say it's easier with dwelly rubbers and elastic topsheet
Just stop it 🤣 🤣 🤣
You can launch the ball high with a low throw rubber and keep it low with a high throw rubber and in both cases both effects will work.
It's not only about G09c. I often see statements like "it's not tacky thus not spinny", above even someone said that non-tacky rubbers hit the table only because of gravity and Magnuss effect is not applicable to them :faceplam. Just too much of BS speaking.
Not exactly with these. D09c was tried only briefly. I played with boosted H8 39 and boosted Glayzer 09c after sticking to Big Dipper for a while and ESN grippy rubbers before.
I used to brushloop with celluloid ball but shifted towards hitting through the sponge with plastic ball and...
Played some sessions with 75 inner and Glayzer 09c on FH. It actually felt like home. It was a bit too dwelly and a bit too high throw on all-wood limba top blade for my taste but here it was just all right. It was fun to play long fast barely clearing the net flicks with a simple pancake...
