  1. ITTF WTTTC Finals London 2026, 4/28-5/10

What about Hayata never beat SYS argument? :) It's about special situation. One has to shoulder the burden of defending China's historic position, the other is asked to kill the giant in the biggest stage in her young career.
  2. ITTF WTTTC Finals London 2026, 4/28-5/10

Dominant performance from the world number 1.
  3. ITTF WTTTC Finals London 2026, 4/28-5/10

Best chance for Miwa to get back is the third game. She has to have a good start. Looks like she is.
  4. ITTF WTTTC Finals London 2026, 4/28-5/10

Miwa only resisted in the first 6 points in the second game. Then, it's down fall from there.
  5. ITTF WTTTC Finals London 2026, 4/28-5/10

SYS used lots of forehand in the first game, the worst sign for her opponents.
  6. ITTF WTTTC Finals London 2026, 4/28-5/10

The way WMY beating Honoka is not convincing, just grounding out. Unlike SYS, which Honoka is hopeless like against Ito. That's why I say on a good day, Honoka has a chance against WMY. Did WMY ever lost to Miwa before today? If not, it happened today. It's not all about history, also something...
  7. ITTF WTTTC Finals London 2026, 4/28-5/10

That's my reasoning as well. Honoka has a chance against WMY. Hayata has a chance against KM Miwa has a chance winning just one match and less chance winning both. Current layout, Honoka has good chance against KM Hayata has good chance losing both matches Miwa has less chance winning both.
  8. ITTF WTTTC Finals London 2026, 4/28-5/10

Good adjustment and patience from KM evening the score.
  9. ITTF WTTTC Finals London 2026, 4/28-5/10

KM's forehand just doesn't have enough pace to penetrate Honoka's defense. Actually, among Chinses female players, only SYS possesses the forehand power to break through Honoka's defense. WMY doesn't have the same penetrating forehand power like SYS does but stable enough to wear down Honoka...
  10. ITTF WTTTC Finals London 2026, 4/28-5/10

There may not be a strong consensus about Ma Long having the best forehand in the world. However, I think there is less controversy as which female player has the best forehand, that is SYS. If she maximizes her forehand usage, nobody can beat her.
  11. ITTF WTTTC Finals London 2026, 4/28-5/10

Among all Chinese female players, SYS enjoys a special status. You can see during the TO how communication is carried out between her and the coach, it's more like a discussion than a teacher talking a student.
  12. ITTF WTTTC Finals London 2026, 4/28-5/10

For Japan to beat China, Miwa needs to win both her matches and Honoka needs to win hers. For China to come on top, SYS has to win both matches, WMY gets one match. KM is an extra insurance. So, betting China is a safe bet. Hayata is taking lots of high-risk shots, but landing rate is not...
  13. ITTF WTTTC Finals London 2026, 4/28-5/10

Agree. Gauzy would have better chance securing France's extra point, based on recent encounter and LJK's current form. But. it would be an unpopular and high-risk decision. I don't think Molin had the guts to pull that one out.
  14. ITTF WTTTC Finals London 2026, 4/28-5/10

No question WCQ is the most important factor contributing 2 our 3 points towards China's win. However, he is expected to do that as the best player currently in the world. The most critical victory should go to LJK, he won the game simply by the will power refusing to lose. It's not a sure thing...
  15. ITTF WTTTC Finals London 2026, 4/28-5/10

That's unusually early TO for France. Maybe the coach didn't like what he saw trying to stop the trend. Seems working at least for the first 3 points after the TO
  16. ITTF WTTTC Finals London 2026, 4/28-5/10

Believe it or not, it's easier for WCQ play against Felix than Coton.
  17. ITTF WTTTC Finals London 2026, 4/28-5/10

Felix did 4 hops while rotating 360 degrees, very impressive. Man, the first game was really close.
  18. ITTF WTTTC Finals London 2026, 4/28-5/10

Well, you have to give props to LJK, at the end of second game, he looked like a dead man walking, Now, we can see why Chinese coaches still put a 70% of LJK in the front with ZQH and XP sitting.
  19. ITTF WTTTC Finals London 2026, 4/28-5/10

    Well, Alex is visibly collapsing
  20. ITTF WTTTC Finals London 2026, 4/28-5/10

I'm betting on LJK. Throughout hid career, he won the majority of match deciders. I have no problem if Alex can prove me wrong.
