  1. Ma long backspin sidespin variation serve demo (Ma long's second serve motion)

Good spin. The only thing is that you will probably get called on hiding your serve with your left arm. On some serves, it's blocking the contact. They don't call these things at higher levels it seems but I've been called on it before at fun club level.
  2. My journey table tennis training in china :)

Amazing video. It just gives you the sense that China has absolute armies of young people training to become the next Ma Long.
  3. My journey table tennis training in china :)

Good luck. Record as much as you can and share when you are complete. Also try and get your hands on that mystical Chinese rubber that no one can get except for in China :)
  4. My version of Ma long serve

Nice video Siva. I've actually done the same thing and tried to duplicate Ma's serve. What I really like about yours is the acceleration and snap you get into the contact. I'm going to try that next. You may want to try his follow through footwork to his ready position as it is built into the...
  5. Boosters, how to use ?

Wow amazing thank you for the link. p.s. 42andbackpains I just bought one of these massage pillows - it does wonders after hard training. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BOYA2M2?*Version*=1&*entries*=0
  6. Boosters, how to use ?

I'm just curious about the science of what happens to the rubber when you apply booster. Does anyone know the details? My guess is that the sponge expands and lets air into the sponge, which then stretches the top sheet. The sponge and rubber curls up...is that because the top sheet is pulling...
  7. Men's World Cup 2015

Cheers for posting these highlight videos, these are great.
  8. What is the Best 40+ Plastic Ball

Someone brought a Nittaku 40+ premium by the club and it is reaaally good. It doesn't have the cheap plasticky feel and sound to it. It has weight and feel to it. Very close to the celluloid ball. Now if I can only find them at a decent price.
  9. Amateur player with a crazy Backhand

I was thinking this as well. You need to have a good amount of time to execute such a big stroke. If someone is pressuring you with speed or placing you awkwardly it's much more difficult. Slow shots, pop ups and being away from the table will allow you to add rotation and bigger follow through...
  10. European Championships 2015 (Team Event)

Ovtcharov vs Fergerl .These two are such a good match up! Fegerl plays super hard. Will be looking forward to future matches between these guys.
  11. RoboPong

Hi All Anyone out there using a Robopong robot? If so, which are your favorite drills or programs? On my 1050, I usually start off with drill #6 (2BH & 2FH) then move to #10 (BH, FH on bh side, BH, FH wide). I'm just wondering if anyone has some suggestions on where to go from there and which...
  12. Lightweight rubber

I started with rakza 7 soft which is nice and light hen moved on to xiom vega Europe which is now my favorite light rubber. Great control and doesn't weigh you down like the fast rubbers do.
  13. Throwing ball behind head during serve...

I'm seeing this quite a bit lately. Basically it looks to me like the serve throw is directed towards the head and is obscured by the head right before contact. Is this fine? Obviously it's done purposely...it's giving the opponent less time and fewer clues as to what spin is coming in...
  14. Probably the best 40+ ball ? Nittaku Premium (MIJ)

I've been reading that the Stag Peter Karlsson 40+ balls are supposed to be great but I can't find many places other than teessport.com selling them. Also their warning doesn't inspire much confidence..... "PLEASE NOTE: BY THE NATURE OF THE MATERIAL, PLASTIC BALLS WILL NOT USUALLY LAST AS LONG...
  15. Rakza line.

That's a good question. I found 7 to be quite spinny and I haven't noticed a lack of spin. Would really have to get them side by side and test them. I am also not too sure if this new X line is developed for the plastic ball which could change some spin characteristics...
  16. Ping Pong Dance Video

    The Falkenhop?
  17. Rakza line.

I've used Rakza X and Rakza X soft. Rakza X is too fast for my liking. It's also heavy. I prefer light weight, soft rubber so Rakza 7 soft was my go to choice. Moved up to Rakza X soft and it feels quite similar to 7. Very good rubber.

  19. [BEGINNER] help needed with rubbers

Agreed. The Mark V was my first choice when I moved to a self made bat. It had all around good feel, spin and control.
