Is an oversized blade a "must-have" for defenders? Or do any defenders use a normal or slightly oversized blade? And on that note, are there any moderately oversized blades that are good for defense? Possibly around the low 160s x mid to high 150s?

It's pretty lame. Though it seems mainly the younger players do this, and as they get older it tapers off. Even Zhang Jike used to be quite a hollerer! Shouting in TT is made even worse because there are so many points in such a short span of time...

Do you ever help people practice? I would think learning to block (feeding) would come quite naturally when drilling with other players, especially as they practice their top spin. Tell them to loop as hard as they can, and you'll block it back!

The liu shiwen is pretty close to the innerforce LAYER alc. It's got great control and nice dwell time. Fairly slow though, as I use one to chop with now and again. And yet, when you ramp up the speed... the blade goes right along with you for the ride! It's wonderful for looping and all that...
