  1. Calderano Signs with Joola (#139)

Right, I mean once you get to that level you are not looking for big jumps in level anymore there’s not much you can do technically or in terms of knowledge of the game. It’s mostly down to looking for 1%ers in mental or equipment or maybe something uniquely tactical against individual opponents...

If he wanted that then Joola could just make the exact same racket. He’s been trying also carbon fiber options in previous months even before he switched to Joola. His equipment decisions are up to him in the end.

I’ve never even heard of it haha
  4. Calderano Signs with Joola (#139)

I don’t think it will be a permanent thing, but we will see

It’s just a standard commercial blade, there aren’t many of them left but I’m assuming he tried Vitor’s and felt stable with it for now so we hustled to send some more of whatever is left.

Why on earth would anyone make a custom blade with a Xylo 7 handle? 😂
  7. Make Joola Great Again (with Pickleball?)

It’s something I’ve raised on numerous occasions so I don’t disagree with you at all 😇

Also with regards to this, it was me who produced the golden tango for Japan and I can tell you right now I did not have support for it at all, and in hindsight I’m beginning to see why 🤣

I’ll be making a big effort this year to get a Joola team together, it’s been tough since WTT kicked off in 2020 as there are lot more events. In general getting pro players to come for tournaments in US has been much harder - even edgeball, LA open etc

Whatever happens moving forward will speak for itself. Hope some of you found some value in my responses and i’ll be back when there are more Hugo related things to speak about. Peace!
  13. Calderano Signs with Joola (#139)

well it’s for the market to decide whether the damage has been done, not you 🤣 and how would you know whether they care less or not about whether it was Xiamen or our own company? Have you been on the ground and talked to them in person? They likely have no idea about it, so how can you assume...
  14. Calderano Signs with Joola (#139)

In fairness the shoes previously sold in China were made and licensed by Xiamen and sold at extremely cheap prices usually in online livestream shopping style situations.

Signing Hugo is not a publicity stunt to somehow magically fix anything that maybe could or should have been done better in the past, it's a recommitment to table tennis. People can perceive it however they want, but it's very early days and I don't see why previous misgivings people have with...

Can you please reference what relevance this has to Hugo signing with Joola?
