  1. Nittaku Hurricane 8-80

Right. I use 37 on bh and 38 for fh. Was really hoping a 39 or 40 would be released eventually.
  2. Nittaku Hurricane 8-80

It's interesting that they'd only make softer sponges. I like the 35 being an option but unless the sponge itself has changed I don't see the 37.5 being used since it's so close to the originals already.
  3. DIY rubber

Perfectly reasonable. Thanks for all the info you gave me. It'll guide me down a way to keep me interested for a while. Best of luck to you!
  4. DIY rubber

Wow that is steep! I wonder where all the money goes? Probably the heating process?
  5. DIY rubber

This was very informative. I've never went through with sandwiching a sponge and topsheet since I play inverted. I'll definitely give it a try now though. Would love to see a dignics sponge with a slower topsheet. Regarding getting rubbers manufactured, that sounds very interesting. Is there...
  6. DIY rubber

Hello all, was reading through the blademakers thread and realized there is not an equivalent for rubber. This is no doubt because rubber engineering is more difficult to get into. Has anyone ever tried to make their own rubber, how did it go, and what was your process? Asking for myself who...
  7. Stiga Dynasty Carbon xu xin alternatives

Can anyone compare this blade to a nittaku acoustic?
  8. How does one get good at RPB

Following up on wrist pain, this is usually caused by either using too much wrist during play, or having a racket that's too heavy. According to Wang Hao, rpb is not a wrist stroke. You use your waist, core, and lead with your forearm. This will save your wrist in the long run and also...
  9. How does one get good at RPB

Best training for footwork and forehand, I've found is full table forehand. You can find many videos of pros do this exercise. Start at backhand position, then middle, then forehand, back to middle. Back to starting position. Shuffle and stay balanced for every shot. Always aim for a specific...
  10. How does one get good at RPB

The GOAT penhold video. Hopefully it's helpful but rpb is very tricky. It takes a lot of understanding about your grip and how you play.
  11. PAIN caused by heavy 1 Ply Hinoki Blade Set Up

Fairly similar. The outer ply is a thicker hinoki ply so the ball feel is still great. It's a bit less bouncy out the gate because you have plies and not just a big chunk of wood. catapult is good. It's not so active at lower speeds but is at higher speeds. Doesn't have much kick because of...
  12. PAIN caused by heavy 1 Ply Hinoki Blade Set Up

I haven't played with the rossi before so can't say.
  13. PAIN caused by heavy 1 Ply Hinoki Blade Set Up

Joola Nobilis PBO-C is a good hinoki outer 5 ply. Give it a look. Still has good feel but it's fairly light.
  14. Similar blade to Garaydia ALC?

I've used septear feel which was okay but I didn't care for it. Same with nittaku sou. I know victas has a hinoki zlc blade that others enjoy. Other than that butterfly has a few older models but they are hard to get.
  15. Similar blade to Garaydia ALC?

Can't speak for the Garaydia ALC but instead the Garaydia ZLC. Joola Nobilis PBO-C is similar and my main blade. I'd highly suggest it if you like the feel of the Garaydia. It's light, good feel but not a lot of vibration (not sure how to describe that).
  16. Recommend me a Hinoki Blade!

Joola Nobolis PBO-C is a 5 ply with a thick hinoki outer layer. It's definitely feels like a mix of one ply and regular multi layered. It's my main blade and I think it lends itself to a wider variety of playstyles than 1 plys.
  17. Why do I still feel more comfortable with T05 on FH instead D05?

It seems to me that your strokes are adjusted for T05, nothing wrong with that. D05 requires harder swings to get the benefits. Which doesn't mean that a person has better skills. It's more of how a person practices and plays. Some amateurs swing harder and can use it better than more advanced...
  18. Best Hybrids in your estimation thus far! (Mine is Bluestar A1 for my BTY Kiso Hinoki V)

And to add on, d09c doesnt suit all blades. Which is why having options is a good thing.
  19. Help with rubbers

+1 to the idea of changing to a different blade. Viscaria is the staple blade everyone uses. ZLC is great if you like it. Big dipper 38-39d comes to mind, or boosting a h3. That way you can find if it works for you. Rakza Z is good if you don't mind the weight.
  20. Amultart: most underrated Blade out there?

I've never played with the amultart but my main blade is similar, moola nobility pbo-c. The structure is great and I'd suggest that for these blade types would be to get a slower/medium pace spinny rubber. It really let's all of the blade shine while giving you control too. Easily the best...
