I know, I know. But I'm not even sure it is solely physical. Rather, it is a mix of mental and physical stamina, requiring great mental and physical resilience. The thinking that goes into the decision making in playing against long pips weighs on you somewhat differently, doesn't it? I think...

To state the obvious, even if you have it figured out, playing against a superb LP opponent is just so draining… And I think stamina may have been Miwa's Achilles' heel. Still, ever since she beat Honoka in a major competition I know she surely has the resilience it takes to take on both...

My sentiment exactly. And I so don't get it. I seriously have the impression that given a bit more exposure Hashimoto could break to top 10 and stay there giving the Chinese a really hard time. It looks like giving away victories on the JNT's part.

Anyone else getting really lousy quality from ETTU.TV? In the Auto mode it plays at 270 p and still chokes like crazy. I'm sure it is not on my side of things.

On top of that I think that Hashimoto has a pretty wide portfolio of shots. I love how she adds sidespin to her chops. And how she calculates/feels it from meters behind the table is beyond me.

So did I, so did I :) I was proclaiming Miwa top 5 already in terms of consistency sometime before the Olympics. (Let me zeio a bit, even if without citing my own posts ;) ) I mean, I know I'm overenthusiastic, but I love this kid so much!

Anybody with any intel as to why Honoka Hashimoto is not playing in the Smash? In my opinion she is better than Suh Hyo Won — more versatile and adaptive. I would love to watch her more in the upper echelons, not just feeding Feeders…

I don't know. To me Miwa looks tired already. She's winning just now, but she's doing it the old uncle style, if you know what I mean :)

If not now, then soon, is my impression. I think what she does right is that she adds elements to her gameplay that gain in sophistication, but only moves on to the next one once she's mastered the previous one. I mean, not within a game, but tournament after tournament.

All right, for the edge recovery Miwa is officially excused for all her faltering against Kaufmann :D
