Longer wider strokes does not mean different timing of contacting the ball. I still contact the ball with the same timing, just the swing is bigger. OSP, you are trying to contact the ball earlier but you can still retain a bigger swing. Its just easier to make contact with a smaller swing. And...

I have been tinkering with my fh loop for a long long time. Trying to make it more compact because i am about 185cm in height and i feel as i get older & slower that i should not have such a big swing. Recently i have been not happy with my fh loop because i feel i am not generating enough...

SD98 and OSP, i will be at the club Thurs 3-7, Fri 3-7 and Sat 12-7. My endeavor to play as much table tennis has pushed my 46 year old body to the edge. I have been going to the club about 5 out of 7 days for almost 3 weeks. Even with 8 hours of sleep last night, i still feel tired. So i will...
  4. World Team Cup 2018

Germany made a clear and simple business decision. Protect the #1 ranking and they can use the excuse there team was not complete.

My official rating is 1440, so you can spot me 3 points.....at least i am not OSP asking for 9 or 10 points all the time.:D

Since i started to do plank and wall sits for about two weeks now. I feel am a a little stronger and my back doesn't hurt as much. I have played for 4 days continuously, which is a record for me. Normally i take a 2 hours coaching lesson on Saturdays and hang around the club to do some match...

If you can control the carbon blade as well as the wood blade then stick with the faster blade. As i get older, i think control and rhythm trumps power thats why i play with a wood blade. I didn't say much...:p

I predict major fireworks when Maze meets Haramoto...:D

You just need to get back on the table for hit the ball for a couple of hours, and it will come back to you. As a fellow sufferer of constant inflammation, i feel ya. I take 3 celebrex a week, 4 if i feel a twinge in my back or hip areas. Lets hope for the best
  10. Questions regarding "Kick effect"

Kick, where the ball spins faster when compared to the speed of the ball. I don't know the formula, i just think in simple terms. You can loop a ball in exactly the same way. Almost the same arc and same distance. Where a loop may be fast with less spin and the second is a slower loop with much...
  11. Butterfly A40+

5 out of 5 rating for Butterfly A40+ I bought the A40+ and have played a couple of hours with it. This ball should be manufactured for Butterfly by DHS, its plays almost exactly the same as the DHS D40+. On a drop test from the same height when comparing the A40+ to the D40+, the first couple...

Review by '42andbackpains' on item 'Butterfly A40+'

I bought the A40+ and have played a couple of hours with it. This ball should be manufactured for Butterfly by DHS, its plays almost exactly the same as the DHS D40+. On a drop test from the same height when comparing the A40+ to the D40+, the first couple of bounces are almost indentical. But...

Heeding my doctors advice to do some planks to strengthen my core muscle. I did some planks on and off for a couple of days. I can only do about 1 minute so far before i start trembling. Well after my regular Saturday training session, by back was sore and tired. And it didnt hurt like it...

1.My coach uses a old sheet of rubber and use the back side sponge to rub off the old glue. This works pretty well. 2.Just rub it with your fingers, but it will take a long time. And may cause bodily harm...lol 3.Lastly, use fine grit sandpaper to sand it off if you are in a rush.

GGGrrrr.....i just gave myself a blister rubbing glue off these new ESN rubbers....:(
  18. JOOLA Flash 40+ vs Nittaku Premium

Like Der Echte experience. I loved the XSF ball when it first came out, but when the Nittaku Premium 40+ launched. I finally knew the XSF ball was a piece of turd when compared to the seamed Nittaku premium. I really dislike all variants of XSF balls now. I wont hate them, i just wouldn't choose...
  19. Butterfly A40+ vs G40+

I would have to add the Nittaku premium does get slicker after some hours of use but not as slick as the G40+. I agree with thomas.pong Dhs D40+ is the best value at this time. If people want to try some other alternatives, the Sanwei ABS 40+ is pretty good too. My club received some 1 star for...
  20. Butterfly A40+ vs G40+

Its just feels a little bit lighter in play, but in reality they actually weigh the same.
