  1. JTTA: Selection System to be Revamped for Paris 2024

The injury definitely got in her way and I am sure she did not wish for that.
  2. JTTA: Selection System to be Revamped for Paris 2024

Exactly, and I have said before, injuries may impede her progress like it did at the Olympics already. At least she could have put up a better fight against SYS
  3. JTTA: Selection System to be Revamped for Paris 2024

Surprise surprise, I am not someone who spends hours on forum everyday and I have only scanned most of the popular threads here (including 52 pages of this one) in like ten minutes, so I probably don't have a 100% understanding of whatever is going on. Either way, I disagree with the argument...
  4. JTTA: Selection System to be Revamped for Paris 2024

I made it obvious what I was talking about here but you chose to ignore this part: ".......and judging a player's overall career in all events". Thus I had no reason to not continue my "misplaced" argument.
  5. JTTA: Selection System to be Revamped for Paris 2024

It's possible that injury will severely impede her way as it have in the past.
  6. JTTA: Selection System to be Revamped for Paris 2024

Hayata has actually gotten injured way more frequently than Hirano and Ito and it took her so much more hard work (I'm sure we can agree on this especially Zeio who keeps calling her dumb) to catch up, so I'm not sure if her progress is completely healthy, especially the physical component.
  7. JTTA: Selection System to be Revamped for Paris 2024

Were you guys doing that the whole time? I was solely focusing on how successful a person's career were/have been. And that, of course, includes all events.
  8. JTTA: Selection System to be Revamped for Paris 2024

While Hayata has won ATTC before, Ito broke the most records including the ridiculously difficult ones at Nationals, (youngest ever to defend all three titles 2018/2019). And I'm not sure about Japan, but I think in China they value Nationals Title very highly. The point is, yes, they are close...
  9. JTTA: Selection System to be Revamped for Paris 2024

No that is actually opposite of what I was saying; Hirano’s ATTC gold WTTC bronze and WC gold are what makes her most accomplished along with Ito’s triple medal feat at Olympics, bronze at WC, Silver at Asian Cup and beating almost all of two generations of CNT. HAYATA, however falls short since...
  10. JTTA: Selection System to be Revamped for Paris 2024

I’m not trying to look at this critically, because we’re talking about who’s purely the most achieved, not anything else. The question is who achieved the most, not who had the most chances to and who was most lucky, etc.
  11. JTTA: Selection System to be Revamped for Paris 2024

This is basically discrediting Ito and Hayata’s medals at the Olympics except for her XD gold since it was not very diffficult. This is also degrading all of Hirano’s achievements such as WTTC bronze and WC gold, except for her ATTC win. Beating FTW is nothing impressive. Ito did that 4-0 at...
  12. JTTA: Selection System to be Revamped for Paris 2024

Sure, but I don’t think it’s fair to judge achievements based on how much the Chinese value a the tournaments or how “difficult” it was to In that case I guess you must diminish Hirano’s WTTC bronze and WC gold. So then HAYATA has achieved more than both Hirano and Ito????
  13. JTTA: Selection System to be Revamped for Paris 2024

Well, in that case Ito got 3rd twice at WTGF so that matches Hina's bronze at WTTC since they both had to beat WYD to achieve it and that's it. Am I correct to assume that Hirano Hayata have all never reached semis in WTGF before? It is valued less than WTTC for sure but the difficulty is...
  14. JTTA: Selection System to be Revamped for Paris 2024

Which is why HAYATA may do so in the future but she has not yet surprass Ito’s achievements as of right now.
  15. JTTA: Selection System to be Revamped for Paris 2024

Yes, but I was talking about purely looking at achievements statistically as a random spectator would (and judging a player’s overall career in all events, which I guess further helps Ito here since she has two silver at WTTC in doubles). Overall Ito and Hirano definitely edges out Hayata even...
  16. JTTA: Selection System to be Revamped for Paris 2024

The point is that Ito has still achieved more than Hayata has despite not medalling at WTTC Maybe against Hirano, Ito's results are comparable: Ito has bronze world cup medal, and silver at Asian Cup compared to Hirano's gold at both World Cup and Asian Championships and bronze at WTTC, which...
  17. JTTA: Selection System to be Revamped for Paris 2024

Sorry what? Even disregarding win rate against CNT, which does mean a lot, Ito has a world cup medal, four olympic ones including gold, broke more records at youngest ages, and was ranked the highest in WR during her career than Hayata ever was or anyone else. Some of these things Hayata may...
  18. Heard about this lately.... SYS vs CM

Just for fun, here's an angry anti-fan who threw a fit online after CM won: (Similar to the one who told CM to fuck ML with a condom) It's written in Chinese and he was caught by the police for posting this
