  1. DHS Hurricane 8-20 provincial is available in China

I'm talking about H8-20, and 710s sponge in general, the supply for both H3-20 and H8-20 is hard to get since last month
  2. DHS Hurricane 8-20 provincial is available in China

the rubber seems to have very high demands at the moment so harder to get. It's basically a H3 pro with softer topsheet ideally for BH. My most favorite Chinese style BH rubber.
  3. Calderano Signs with Joola (#139)

the #80 sponge is not strong enough if you do BH counter attack. I have played a lot of DHS rubbers and have to admit most of their sponges are.. mediocre, only some versions of H3 sponges are good (Recently they have this 710s sponge which is really, really good, but hard to buy. I am using the...
  4. Battle II prov. Blue sponge

B2 prov blue was one of my most favorite FH rubbers, however it throw angle is low and is a bit stiff if not engaged enough. I switched to H3 pro blue for a higher throw, and some grams lighter
  5. Calderano Signs with Joola (#139)

I don't think 8-80 even comes close to D09c, not even C55 I think Butterfly will suit Hugo better, if he makes the changes of equipment
  6. Strong forehand but weak backhand

what do you use for BH ? if it's bouncy maybe try a more controlled, slower rubber (like a Chinese tacky rubber, it holds the ball very well)
  7. Calderano Signs with Joola (#139)

    or DHS HUrricane GO
  8. Calderano Signs with Joola (#139)

too bad because Xiom outfit looks very eye catching and no other sponsored Xiom players wear it as nice as he does
  9. Calderano Signs with Joola (#139)

it will be named.. Dedicated Hugo's Sword
  10. What serve should I use?

I forgot to say, I usually do hook serve to the short FH side of the opponent (if he is right hand) - 90% the opponents will return to my BH, the long hook serve to opponent's BH side will mostly be returned to midde/FH side
  11. Penhold Straight vs Curved Fingers

I think you can try to focus on the thumb - it plays a big role in blocking and RPB
  12. Marty Supreme table tennis film

there is this manga I read when I was a kid - I still remember the Buddha serve when the ball lands on the other side but doesn't bounce.. many hilarious anti-physics moves like the Prince of Tennis manga lol
  13. Marty Supreme table tennis film

why do I think this actor looks like Liam Pitchford
  14. Penhold Straight vs Curved Fingers

my video was a bit old but I think can answer your concern: For short: you have to choose a grip which strengthens your playstyle because changing grip in the middle of the rally is almost impossible. I suggest a neutral grip slightly prefer BH (curved 2 fingers, slightly deeper thumb) - which...
  15. What serve should I use?

based on my own experience, I use hook serve (no spin/topspin) a lot and almost of the cases the return will be a long ball so there are many chances for opening loop. Lower level opponents usually push to BH with little spin - easy to BH loop, higher level opponents can flick the ball to FH...
  16. What serve should I use?

I strongly recommend the hook serve, if you have a strong backhand then that serve will benefit the most.
  17. Inner and Outer Carbon Blade Alternatives

reading your post I think an inner blade will work well for you: recently Sanwei has released some good inner: Sanwei Surge Prism and Fextra 5x, there is a review: https://www.tabletennisdaily.com/forum/topics/review-sanwei-surge-prism-inner-carbon-blade.38277/
  18. Importance of gluing well

it's the norm for me and most people. If you feels it's not bouncy then try adding more layers
  19. Importance of gluing well

I have, it's very easy to apply glue, a bit diluted so you need to use more glue than normal
  20. Importance of gluing well

I like the metallic feeling so I only apply 1-1 thin glue layer, that I can have the feeling of hitting through the blade. With 2-2 or even 2-1, the rubber indeed feels softer, bouncier and ball goes out more often. The downside is that it's harder to remove the glue, so I have to apply 2-3...
