Did you ask for a specific weight of the blade? If it’s over 90g it’s going to be heavy. G1 already itself is a heavy rubber imo. Maybe try a lighter higher throw rubber. You changed 2 things at the same time instead of just one variable. So now you have to adjust. I find G1 on the all wood...

Why did they discontinue this series? It seemed like one of their best lines.

Im seriously looking at the ALXi now. Seems like a better transition, but that’s still a few ways out for me. The only thing making me hesitant is the TMXi being on sale on TT11 for a lot cheaper than the ALXi, but I know it’s stiffer, faster, and less dwell than anything I would need lol.

Thanks for the in depth response. Reading TTgearlabs HAL review I was in between these two blades, HAL & ALXi and your reasoning is exactly like theirs in that the ALXi would feel like a more natural transition just with a bit more speed. So it def makes sense, and I’ve been confusing myself...

Can you compare the HAL to the TB ZLF you had before it? These are the 2 blades Im considering as "upgrades" from all-wood as I don't feel like I'll ever need carbon.

Is there a reason you chose penhold over shakehand? Have you ever tried shakehand extensively? Sounds like your technique is your roadblock, but we haven’t seen how you play. PS, I suck too.

Im not sure bruv. If the core is in fact kiri, I don’t believe they ever used it in their previous blades till recently innit. Sounds like you might be looking for an Acoustic tho.
