  1. Cure for the EJ

My fh is beautiful on it, the pips are rubbish, it is not stiff or thick enough to do any damage.
  2. andro allwood blades

I dont like the feel of harder woods on my fh I have tried YEO Goabaio Rosewood VII and Donic Otch V1 I find they done hold the ball like I want, I do not even like koto. I like only Limba or Hinoki
  3. Cure for the EJ

    You are correct Kuba!
  4. andro allwood blades

SWAT is awful IMO, might as well get a 5 ply. Gauzy SL, is that the ebony one, that will be fierce. I think I would be better off trying to get SDC to make me one!!
  5. Differences between Andro's 7-ply blades

I am thinking Ludeack based on TT11 Blog, seems a little more on the topspin side but still at 6.5mm should be stiff enough.
  6. Differences between Andro's 7-ply blades

I bought a Szocs 1, I thought it was awful, really stiff and hard to loop with, sold it after a day or two, did not really feel much different to Force Pro Black to me.
  7. Differences between Andro's 7-ply blades

Oh well looks like I am stuck with PD437
  8. Differences between Andro's 7-ply blades

What about Victas Dyna 7 Victas Koki Niwa TSP Swat power Yasaka Max Wood Nittaku S7 Nittaku Ludeack Avalox P700 Avalox BT777 Joola Xylo 7 Tibhar Dynamic J7 Nittaku Factive Andro Timber Off Gauzy BL 7 I am tempted to go a bit all out and get a Nittaku S7 (Soulspin) I think!!
  9. Differences between Andro's 7-ply blades

Swat is terrible. Beginners blade. Felt like a 5 ply to me and vibrates like crazy. It is not necessarily just the speed, I need a bit of help on my fh, a bit of dwell or a little less stiff than the beast 7 ply blades. I need enough spin off fh to make the pimple shots good later in the...
  10. Cure for the EJ

I think you are right Lula. I could stay with the PD437 and work on the forehand, the pips are great on this blade. But I find the new ABS balls not so good with my pimples too. But there must be a 7 ply wood that has a little more ease for topspin, but still retains some stiffness...
  11. Cure for the EJ

I tried 3 clippers in past and I find them too stiff on FH. My fh technique breaks down with clipper. I been trying a Yinhe PD437 which is similar, seems ok I think. Pips are nice on it.
  12. Differences between Andro's 7-ply blades

Lasta did you try the new Timber off or off/s Also how is Swat Power compared with Force Pro Black or Fextra?
  13. Cure for the EJ

So I am fed up of how rubbish the MLC is with my pimples on bh, especially with ABS balls. I am going back to 7 ply wood again. PD 437 for now. But I will have to try the other 10 7 ply woods I have not yet tried!! ☹
  14. andro allwood blades

Would you guys say the Timber 7 is a bit tamer and more controllable than the Fextra, Force Pro Black etc. Perhaps a bit more flex for looping. But still some stiffness for bh pips?
  15. DHS Skyline 3 Provincial 40' (blue sponge)

thanks, if you dont mind me asking what standard of player are you?
  16. DHS Skyline 3 Provincial 40' (blue sponge)

that's why I am thinking Falck Carbon or Donic Crest AR+, they are both a bit thicker. But i tried acoustic inner and did not like it. Also not that keen on Innerforce from what I remember.
  17. DHS Skyline 3 Provincial 40' (blue sponge)

I nearly have dropped the EJ bug. I had a theory about getting a fast balsa to compensate for abs balls. So I was going to try a tacky rubber on fh to get control and spin. Since I switched to Ma Lin Carbon my pimple shots have become a bit tame, but my fh topspin has improved dramatically. I...
  18. DHS Skyline 3 Provincial 40' (blue sponge)

Has anyone tried this? Do you have to boost it for it to work? I never boost Hurricane when I use it! Patrick reviewed it on TT11, but does not say much about it unboosted?
  19. Cure for the EJ

Wish I was old money, more like lend me a tenner gov?
  20. Yasaka Ma Lin Carbon

Yes I think the YMLC is one of the most underrated blades around. Price performance ratio is super. It is fast and spinny yet controllable. I would recommend it to any improving player. I have tried Innerforce ALC and Acoustic Inner recently and fail to see what you get for the extra £100 you...
