  1. Europe Smash Sweden August 14-24 2025

The French about to offer Uda citizenship. Also Hayata 3-0 Shin. I'm not going to say she's "only good for doubles", but it does feel like Shin's career has largely stalled.
  2. Europe Smash Sweden August 14-24 2025

Togami has always been known for his カミソリドライブ (lit. "razor drive") attack.
  3. Europe Smash Sweden August 14-24 2025

Togami 3-0 Lin. Very composed and measured game from Togami and never got overzealous. The Zyre effect?
  4. Europe Smash Sweden August 14-24 2025

Hashimoto easy 3-0 over Qian. That backhand serve where she turns the blade to the right like a tomahawk serve is so good. She got Qian twice with that in game three.
  5. Nittaku Skyline TG3???

It's just the old Skyline 3 rebranded for the Japanese market. Nittaku has been the Japanese supplier of DHS products for 40+ years. Nittaku does still sell the old provincial H2 and H3 ("Pro Hurricane") as well as the old H3 with a Japanese sponge.
  6. "This rubber is not correct!"

This is big reason why I don't use OX. Having any amount of sponge gives you so much more variety to choose from in your shots. I see Akula and Batra flipping the ball more, but with OX that will always be much less consistent. It's because most amateur players don't have good enough footwork...

When Harimoto wrote his posts on instagram regarding the deficiencies of the T-League, the first thing he called out was the balls used, which are Nittaku.
  9. Young Chinese defender Li Tianyang. Equipment?

DHS 08x, Hurricane 3 with blue sponge. His backhand I'm not sure which rubber exactly, but its definitely from 729.

  12. FISU World University Games 2025

I was looking into this recently, and it's a Yinhe 980 Pro. Composite defensive blade and it's very expensive ($120+). Rubbers are Hurricane 3 and Curl P4V.
  13. The Pro's Equipment - Discussion!

After Doha, it appears Qian Tinyi switched from Hurricane 3 -> Tibhar Hybrid MK (Pro?)
  14. Are Stiga blades more sensitive to splitting?

Depends on the blade. On my offensive classic, I basically once pulled half the top layer off. However, my stiga CL CR doesn't have any issues, likely because the CR coating is a type of UV varnish (or so I've heard), which acts like a type of sealer.
  15. United States Smash 2025, Las Vegas, 7/3-13

Well right after he left sight of the camera you could hear screaming, and he was also castigated by the empire for using the table to tie his shoes.
  16. The Pro's Equipment - Discussion!

Akula switches to Stiga Inspiria Zhou Qihao back to Joola Shan Xiaona switches to the Tibhar Felix
  17. Chen Hao loses to LP penhold player

Revspin has some pretty good comparisons. I have used D-2 in 0.5, but never tried D-1. I recall I once used a friend's paddle who had D-1 on it, and the pimples were super soft so it made attack hard. D-2 has much firmer pimples, and based on photos they look more sparse as well. I'd add that I...
  18. Chen Hao loses to LP penhold player

She talks about her equipment a bit in this video. In this specific instance she was using what looks like 388D-1 in 0.5 (she mentions she uses sponge now because it's easier to attack), and her backhand is TSP (Super Spinpips?). Her blade is the Nittaku Bizelox, which was a rebrand of the old...
  19. Chen Hao loses to LP penhold player

Zhou Xintong was on the national team so she isn't just any "LP penhold player"
