  1. Using an Expensive Rubber vs Cheap Rubber, that is the question.

I'd recommend avoiding AK47 Red. Yes, it's cheap and it can produce high quality shots, but I found it to be very unforgiving in terms of where you hit on the racket. Without a perfect hit in the middle, I had the ball slip on the rubber many times and literally just falling down, which made...
  2. Yinhe or Sanwei Balls?

A friend had a single Yinhe Blue ball and I tried it. Didn't like it at all. It felt like it was too light and almost like it was floating while playing. Very much like a 1* ball.
  3. The thick sponge and tacky topsheet is no good at all.

How do you explain H3 spinning the ball more than say Fastarc G1?
  4. Best Alternatives to Dignics 09c

Only ever tried Big Dipper at 39d, as I heard the 40d version is more of a Chinese rubber than a hybrid. Is this rumor false? I really liked the 39d, though it was a tiny bit slow, which is why I moved to LAC.
  5. When to change rubber sheet?

When it obviously wore itself out (not grippy anymore) / tore apart, or when you get significant less performance that you're missing.
  6. Rubber peeled off after gluing, what should I do next?

Interesting. I'll have to try it next time.
  7. Rubber peeled off after gluing, what should I do next?

Reglue. Can be a pain to align it perfectly (or near perfect) once it's cut to size though, so get yourself ready for a frustrating evening if you want it to look good.
  8. Reducing head-heaviness by gluing differently

Reapplied the same one. I guess my scale could be broken but it seems to be okay so IDK.
  9. Reducing head-heaviness by gluing differently

Sealed of course. No splintering. If it's not glue then my racket must be made out of anti-matter.
  10. Backhand topspin tutorials are useless

If you try to imitate a pro player then yes, they are useless, because most of their backhands are ridiculous and unbelievable that they can even keep the ball on the table like that. For example, Ovtcharov's BH is starting very closed and opens up while swinging. This means that if you don't...
  11. Reducing head-heaviness by gluing differently

I removed the glue before applying new layers.
  12. Reducing head-heaviness by gluing differently

This is something I had only learned about today, even after being an equipment nerd for a good while, so I thought this might help someone else out here too. Not too long ago, someone was talking about their method of gluing rubber using thicker glues on this forum (sorry, I can't remember who...
  13. Do TT pros use what they endorse?

From what it looks like, the blades themselves are developed based on what the player asks for, so the composition and general feeling are probably the same, however the weight of the blade changes a lot, so I'm sure they get exactly what they ask for. I know that Timo had (or still has) a...
  14. Rubber with good ratio of performance/longevity/price

Saw someone saying they used Big Dipper and got to 2200 with it, so it has plenty of power. From my experimenting with Bloom Power, it's as fast as LAC, which is faster than BD. My second LAC sheet shows zero signs of separation between the topsheet and the sponge. AK47 Red lasted me for a...
  15. What are your TT goals for 2024?

Getting from ~1400 to 1700-1800. Seems doable with personal coaching.
  16. New Stiga Mantra Pro

Not quite similar when I only need one. :ROFLMAO:
  17. New Stiga Mantra Pro

Are the Mantra Pros being sold on AliExpress for $37 authentic? TT11 sells them for much higher, so I'm afraid to order a sheet for testing.
  18. How to spread thick glues? (DHS. No 15)

This Sueke does seem interesting. Is it VOC-free?
  19. Unboosted Hurricane 3

I've tried unboosted H3 39deg on an OFF- blade, and it was fine, just too slow for me. Definitely playable though.
  20. Real Stiga Dynasty Xu Xin Edition?

Yeah, very good points. Looked up other blades and the one I have here definitely has different text positions, fonts and text sizes. Shame! But oh well... Not mine either way. :p
