  1. Best rubbers on WCL

No, go for the Loki Arthur China
  2. Greetings from a SANWEI Official

Hi Andrea, Today I tried the Target Pro 3. But I find that the throw angle is very very low, and its very uncomfortable to use. Many of my shots went into the net, and many of my loops were landing short on the table. Does Sanwei purposely design the Target rubbers to have a low throw angle?

What is your experience with Stuor and Lemuria?
  5. Greetings from a SANWEI Official

You said that New Target National was upgraded, but specifically what part was upgraded? So Target National is closer to European style? And Target Provincial is closer to Chinese style? But you also said that Target National is similar to Hurricane 3. Hurricane 3 is not European style.
  6. Affordable first custom racket for ambitious new adult player

My thinking also is that all else equal, a softer rubber will have a higher throw angle. But I think the pimple structure impacts the angle more. Anybody else have definitive answer?
  7. Backhanders

I think with German/Japanese rubber, there is really no difference between black and red. With Chinese tacky rubber, the general understanding is that DHS didn't have the dye technology down perfectly, so the black side always came out tackier. In the past, CNT players would play DHS on forehand...
  8. Backhanders

I think because the CNT mainly played black on FH. The black side was apparently slightly tackier/grippier than the red side. over time, rest of world followed suit
  9. Greetings from a SANWEI Official

Hi Andrea, I see many Sanwei Target versions across the internet, can you explain the difference between them? What is the difference between Sanwei Target National vs "new" Target National? What is the difference between Target commercial, Target provincial, Target National? What is the...
  10. Switching to Hurricane 3Neo / 8?

If you want a Chinese-tacky rubber that is close to tensor, I would recommend Yinhe Big Dipper or Jupiter 3. Both are available in 38 degree. Jupiter 3 has 37 degree (which is 47d ESN). If you want non-tacky Chinese rubber that is close to tensor, the best answer is Palio AK47 Red.
  11. Backhand rubber for Hurricane Long 5

You could use D09c on backhand, to mimic the BH of FZD, LGY, and LYJ. Otherwise, a lot of HL5 users seem to use H3 37 on backhand.
  12. Hammond Z2

what does "penetration on my shots are shorter" mean? You mean the length of your shots are closer to the net?
  13. Forehand rubber recommendations?

If you're looking for more spin, but without dropping too much speed, then hybrid rubbers are the logical answer. Check out the hybrid rubbers list thread. But you could use Bluegrip, Dragon grip, Rakza Z, Tibhar K3, Joola ZGR. If you're willing to try Chinese-made hybrid rubbers, I highly...
  14. advice for a blade - low student budget

If you want a cheap carbon, get a Sanwei CC for $12 or a combo. Or if you want wood, get a Yinhe MC-2 for $17. This is a really good rubber for price and performance too...
  15. dhs h3 neo backhand hardness/thickness?

Most view DHS 37 as the sweet spot for backhand. medium hard sponge gives enough hardness for some offensive potential, but enough softness for forgiveness and ease of use. Maybe 2.1mm is a good balance for you.
  16. Affordable first custom racket for ambitious new adult player

Sanwei Target, DHS Hurricane 3, or Friendship Battle 2 are all very good choices for ultra spinny, dense, slower rubbers. If you want a faster rubber but still spinny, Yinhe Jupiter 3, Yinhe Big Dipper, or Friendship Bloom Power are good choices.
  17. Looking for new blades and possible setup

But I think there really shouldn't be a problem with your current blade. To get better at looping, the technique is more important.
  18. Looking for new blades and possible setup

Fang Bo is my current blade and I've played many times with the HL5 as well. They are pretty close to each other. Compared to all the blades you listed, they have a softer wood feeling, have more dwell time on the blade, more spin, more control. They are better for serve, loops, pushing. Maybe...
