  1. DHS fans unite!

Decent level of play but why do you expect W968 + H3 to perform well if you only slightly brush the ball? Both these blade and rubber require strong forward motion and body strength, while you play like it's Viscaria + T05. Plus, you also tend to put the ball with a high arc closer to the edge...
  2. DHS fans unite!

Bought my latest H3N provincial in late November 2024, the grip is excellent and the tack is decent. I genuinely haven't encountered any "Bad Hurricanes".
  3. Short review of Glayzer 09c

By that logic, no company ever releases a bad product? :) Imo, Glayzer 09c isn't a bad rubber. It's the Butterfly price tag that makes it bad when compared against the competition. It has solid spin and blocks but, my God, the inability to finish points and bad durability make it by far the...
  4. DHS fans unite!

I usually play around 7-8 hours weekly. Maybe mine are less worn due to spin-oriented play instead of power, I don't hit the ball too hard and the topsheet doesn't suffer as much. Maybe reboosting will help. At least for me, Falco Long makes H3N/Jupiter much more elastic, so that the rubbers...
  5. DHS fans unite!

You mean that your sheets lose its grip or? For me, H3N duration is still the same, mine last about 6-9 (I reboost every 3 months with 2-3 layers of Falco Long). The unboosted ones seem to never die (39, 40d), as some of my buddies still play with my old unboosted sheets for almost 2 years and...
  6. DHS poor quality control

It has nothing to do with the quality control, just a couple of scratches. 100% sure it won't impact your game. In fact, DHS has relatively decent product quality, especially if you compare it to other Chinese brands.
  7. Fan zhendong, Ma Long and Cheng Meng announces Retirement from WTT/ITTF

Just a bunch of old men grumping about how everything old was good, and everything new is bad. Classic :)
  8. Yinhe 970 xx C (short review)

The guy above pretty much covered the method. You can bounce the ball on the blade (even with rubbers) and see when the bounce height and sound start deviating when compared to the center of the blade. If you just want a blade with a large sweet spot and it's important for your game, then buy...
  9. Yinhe 970 xx C (short review)

I can confirm it. The DHS blades I tried (PG5X, PG6X, Sun Yingsha, 301, 506X, Fang Bo B2X) had huge sweet spots, especially the Viscaria-alike (PG6X, 506X). The blades from YInhe (Pro 01, Pro 05, 970XX K, Y-series, T-series) had a much smaller sweet spot, almost twice as little.
  10. Hurricane 3 or Battle 2?

You said you're not in good health, yet you prefer vanilla H3 without a booster. Even the CNT gods moved to H3N with tons of booster, how do you even play with that H3? Do you drink Red Bull before every match? xD
  11. Hurricane 3 or Battle 2?

H3N os was around 20$ during a good portion of November on Ali. Purchased several sheets in that period. Depends on the style. If you boost less, it doesn't mean other people are necessarily wrong. Personally, I only play soft H3N versions with at least 3 layers of booster, because I rely on...
  12. Hurricane 3 or Battle 2?

Imo, H3N is better in every department except speed. The only real downsides of H3N are: 1) the need to have good health conditions. 2) boost the rubber periodically. The price is roughly the same as B2 if you buy H3N provincial (orange yes, blue a bit pricier).
  13. Hurricane rubbers and a backhand rubber to pair with it

Orange sponge: 1) Softer. 2) Curvy, short trajectory. 3) Less top-end speed and spin, but easy to get medium-power spin/speed. 4) Bad block, bad flat hits. 5) Less reaction to booster. Blue sponge: 1) Harder. 2) Lower, longer trajectory. 3) Very high top-end spin/speed when you apply body...
  14. Alternative for boosted h3 neo, for a kid

Yes, for its money (12$) it's an undisputed heavyweight champion of the world. But there are 2 caveats: 1) It must be the Asia version, not Euro. Asia has a better topsheet/spin imo. 2) It must be 38 degrees, as it's much bouncier than other softer/hardrer variants. Imo, 38 is a true hybrid with...
  15. Alternative for boosted h3 neo, for a kid

B2G is faster and more suited to 3rd ball attacks, it really capitalizes on body strength. But it's also less forgiving with its low and long trajectory, gotta be in position every time. J3 has a shorter, more curvy trajectory, a bit more spin, doesn't require as much body strength, and most...
  16. Alternative for boosted h3 neo, for a kid

If his backhand really excels at spin with side effect, then he should 100% stick to H3. Seriously, there is no rubber that successfully replicates spin+side. Plus, I am sure he will not appreciate lesser grip, because nothing compares to H3 in terms of grip. Falco Tempo Long is the most...
  17. Alternative for boosted h3 neo, for a kid

Jupiter 3, Big Dipper, and Battle Gold are great choices, however, they don't come close to creating the same venomous ball as H3 does. I mean the spin and wiggly acceleration that H3 produces when hit on the opponent's side. Also, I would still boost each of these rubbers :D But they are surely...
  18. A light Chinese rubber with a little catapult and decent spin

Yinhe Jupiter II (37, 38) was excellent, not sure whether it's still available tho. Above average tackiness. Yinhe Saturn Pro (medium) is another solid lightweight choice with adequate spin. Average tackiness.
  19. H3 style rubber for bh

I tried H3N 38 on backhand on Viscaria - and it's just FIRE. The spin is immense and the ball acceleration is solid. The only downside is the need to play with the closed vat angle, as it doesn't forgive being late to your shot. You gotta work for every shot, but the spin is levels above any...
  20. Most attractive table tennis players

    1) Christina Kallberg. 2) Bruna Takahashi. 3) Qian Tianyu. 4) Annett Kaufmann. 5) Bernadette Szocz.
