  1. Longevity of boosters - any difference?

I think the selection of a booster is a personal thing that must suit your playstyle. Personally, I use Falco Tempo Long and for me it's excellent, but I know people who benefit more from Haifu or Kailin. I have 3 rubbers (Jupiter 3 38/39 and H3N Blue National) boosted with 2 layers of each...
  2. Short review of Glayzer 09c

We are surely not pros, and it's hard to measure given we're in different countries, but it's around 3rd-4th national league level. I don't think I am a good player, but it's noticeable to me how easily opponents return attacks from G09C. And it's not necessarily about the speed, the overall...
  3. Short review of Glayzer 09c

I think G09C only suits the "put ball on a table" style. Pretty good at that but for $50 it's incredible how herbivorous and tame the rubber is. I guess, the only way to win with G09C is by putting a ball on a table and hoping the opponent misses at some point. And the rubber isn't that durable...
  4. Non boosted Hurricane 3

Yes, it is always 100% worth boosting any version of H3 (NEO/regular, Orange/Blue, Commercial/Provincial/National). I "broke into" the Hurricane by starting to play with the unboosted H3 Neo Commercial (H3N) to learn to play forehand at all. As a tall player, in the past, I used to chop/block...
  5. Best yinhe rubber for backhand?

    Except for Moon 12 that was already recommended: - Jupiter 3 38 Euro, 37 Asia - Jupiter 2 38 - Saturn Pro medium/soft - Big Dipper 38
  6. Even Sun Yingsha can’t receive WCQ’s hook serve

I don't think that, for example, WTT (China-backed organization) is interested in removing its most promising player's key advantage. And it's to hard stress how WCQ relies on his serve dominance, it's among the main factors of his success, if not the main IMO. Plus, it would cost extra money...
  7. Even Sun Yingsha can’t receive WCQ’s hook serve

Any idea why WCQ is not being penalized for his serves? I mean, he regularly serves on the table and keeps hiding the ball. I have frequently seen players being penalized for much smaller flaws on the WTT tour.
  8. Post your latest EJ purchase

Jupiter 3 requires boosting for sure. In fact, as an extensive Jupiter 2/3 user, I would recommend using 2 layers of Haifu - Jupiter starts getting D09C vibes after that. 1 layer is usually not enough for my liking. Booster will greatly improve blocking and ease of looping for this rubber.
  9. Short review of Glayzer 09c

As someone who got excited about Glayzer 09C last year, I bought two sheets (red+black) and played with them for about 3 months... Until I ripped them away from the blade and gifted them to my friends. As someone mentioned in this topic, G09C left me clueless about what I should improve to make...
  10. Beast in ASC Grünwettersbach

Indeed, can't thank enough to you, mister :) Switched to the German location and all 6 matches popped for me. <3
  11. Does anybody else mentally fall apart against pure pushers or weird styles?

I think you could benefit from several adjustments: 1) Do a "Moregard" backhand opener - as somebody has already mentioned, you can easily open a rally via a short stroke with an open racket. This only requires you to have a grippy rubber and a solid wrist movement forward. The boll will most...
  12. Beast in ASC Grünwettersbach

Sadly, I haven't seen the broadcast, as Dyn became almost completely inactive on YouTube. They only broadcasted 1 match out of 6 in the 1st tour on YouTube : ) And it looks like they will also be broadcasting only a single match during the 2nd tour as well, so RIP. I respect Dyn's willingness to...
  13. DHS 301Z vs DHS Fang Bo B2X

I don't think that the 301 series is known for its feeling, so I would rather not even look in that direction. If you deliberately want a DHS blade with good feeling in thus budget, look no further than Fang Bo or PG5X.
  14. Beast in ASC Grünwettersbach

Speaking of the topic, sadly Beast wasn't featured during the 1st match of ASC against Borussia. Instead, they had Leo de Nodrest and Guilhermo Teodoro. I hoped Louis could win competition against these two, hopefully he can do it later in the season.
  15. Yinhe Blades

Pro 01, Pro 05, 970XX, V-14 Pro. These are all incredible blades from Yinhe, you can't go wrong with any.
  16. DHS 301Z vs DHS Fang Bo B2X

I have only played with both blades (301X and BO B2X) for 1 training session respectively, and it seemed that Fang Bo B2X is lighter and has more feedback during shots. But 301 had mode power.
  17. H3 Commercial or Provincial?

If you correctly wrote the blades' names, then 5X is way better for any Hurricane 3 rubber. Playing Hurricane 3 without carbon is incredibly hard and requires lots of stamina. Personally, I switched from H3N because during long tournaments my stamina started to crumble. Can't imagine how I...
  18. Reverse Pendelum Serve vs Hook Serve

Imo, Reverse Pendulum is more deadly, generates more spin (especially side spin), and is easier to make short on the table. However, it requires a lot of training and took me about 1.5 years to make it really uncomfortable for high-level opponents. Hook serve is easier to produce and vary...
  19. Beast in ASC Grünwettersbach

True that, but the good thing for Beast is that Turrini lost all the matches in the previous BundesLiga season. Falconnier also lost his match and played pretty bad vs. Steger, while Wang Xi is out of the roster. Deni Kozul is the main obstacle tho. Imagine if Beast could debut against Borussia...
  20. DHS PG7X

If you're used to an Innerforce-type blade like 301X, I would surely recommend avoiding 6X--its outer carbon is almost literally an outer carbon due to how thin the Koto layer is before the carbon engages. And it's pretty bad for European rubbers, at least from my experience. Instead, try 5X...
