ive reglued my rubbers every time like 4 times already with 1 layer glue both sides. i veen tried 2 layer and it came off fine/ until i gave it to my coach and he glued it and when i tried to remove the rubber, it was super hard to remove. ;-; ill just glue it myself next time
  2. splintered blade

probably not. but its already a bit late for sealing. im just going to get a new blade.
  3. splintered blade

allegedly it will change the feeling slightly. i think im just gonna invest in a butterfly blade after i need to change rubbers.
  4. splintered blade

yeah no i did it from bottom to top diagonally. but it still pulled out a bunch of the wood at the top half.
  5. Is Table Tennis gear cheaper in Japan?

ill start to get butterfly blades from there. quite a bit cheaper than australia's butterfly distributor
  6. Is Table Tennis gear cheaper in Japan?

Just gonna ask in this 7 year old post so i dont need to post a new one, i found this timo boll alc. not sure if its fake or real. since its imported from japan i was thinking the price differnece may be found acceptable or at least...
  7. Sponsorship of retired players

i think some of them are brand ambassadors. and mostly for brand recognition i guess.
  8. splintered blade

i recently ried to relgue my rubbres back on becuase they started falling off from repeated friction on the table, but i gave it to my coach to glue it previuously, and he mustve have used a tonof glue becuase it pulled off a unch of wood! as in like 1 long strip of wood right down the upper...

looks pretty good to me. as far as i can tell a ton better than what i can do.
  10. Equipment Advice

yeah i believe vega x is faster than the vega pro. i think it lacks some spin tho but i think if you arent at a level maybe semi-pro level you prob cant tell a differnece.
  11. Help me see the difference between rubbers

I guess but dignics requires better technique and timing to make full use of the rubber. by no means are glayzer rubbers slow if you comapre to like all rubbers other than dignics.

  13. Equipment Advice

ive actually never heard of that blade before. i think its discontinued is it not? whre did you get it? aside from that 7 ply wood is faster than 5 and has more gears. ive never tried 7ply blades before tho.dignics 80 is good tho. its all around rubber and probably easiest to use in the dignics...

  15. Help me see the difference between rubbers

just note i was referring to glayzer 09c. the regular glayzer is slightly worse in terms of serve returning. although most online video reviews including the ttd one say that glayzer 09c and glayzer are slow, i dont think so. theyre quite bouncy even on a korbel blade (all wood). I thought when...
  16. Help me see the difference between rubbers

Tenergy is quite spin sensitive and relatively bouncy so it isnt very good but its doable if you have good control. glayzer 09c is quite good since its mildly tacky and slower and not as bouncy.
  17. Help me see the difference between rubbers

As for the rubbers bit, you said it doesnt have enough "curve" or arc. Althouh i havent tried stiga rubbers before, i would assume that you might want a rubber that has more dwell or hold the ball longer. You can look into hybrid rubbers althoguh there are some grippy rubbers that have quite...
  18. Help me see the difference between rubbers

Hi there. Next time avoid posting topics that have been covered. I wrote this in another post: " Tensor rubbers are typically liek ESN rubbers you'd find. Super bouncy, harder to control than your generic untensioned rubber. the problem is that they are typically less spinny and use more sponge...
  19. Tensor vs Hybrid rubbers

I suppose not but due to the fact that theres at least a mildly tacky topsheet, you may need to adjust your technique. It becomes more difficult if you switch from tacky to tensor. I think tensor --> hybrid should be fine. youd just need a few days-weeks of adjusting.
  20. Tensor vs Hybrid rubbers

Tensor rubbers are typically liek ESN rubbers you'd find. Super bouncy, harder to control than your generic untensioned rubber. the problem is that they are typically less spinny and use more sponge to generate spin. hybrid rubbers use a semi-tacky (not as tacky as chinese rubbers) combined with...
