  1. Ball catcher net - your experience?

Feeling too lazy to assemble pipes...this is cheap enough (AUD90 w/o net vs AUD400 for the Sanwei). Admittedly the Sanwei is very nice. And when I get tired of TT :-O , I can still use it as a clothes rack.
  2. Ball catcher net - your experience?

I might experiment with a ready made frame like this (a clothes rack) . Only $30-$50 or so.
  3. Since when did Kallberg change his name to Shallberry?

Wait, Axelsen and Antonsen are Danish!... so what are the Norwegians good in? Furniture (Ikea)? Song (ABBA)? Beer (Carlsberg)?
  4. Since when did Kallberg change his name to Shallberry?

I think they make up for it in badminton.
  5. Ball catcher net - your experience?

I looked at the prices of other products again in ebay and amazon. It seems I was comparing your movable product with the simpler catchers that are attached to the table. When I compare yours to other movable products, the cost including shipping of USD100 (I'm guessing) is quite similar and...
  6. Ball catcher net - your experience?

TSP is a brand (famous, so you might know them). TT11 used to sell seamless TSP training balls. Not anymore. Their quality is amazing and cheaper than others. I can't distinguish them from 3 star balls (but I'm not an expert).
  7. I'm cured of EJ disease, but now I am depressed...

I don't think EJ is a disease (as long as you don't believe new equipment is the solution to your winning/losing problems). EJing is just like trying out a new bar or new restaurant, or having a date with someone new. EJing is just like collecting beautiful works of art like watches, pens...
  8. Movie - Ping Pong The Triumph

For those not aware of this movie: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt25730402/ For Aussies, available at www.sbs.com.au/ondemand/watch/2345877571800 It covers China's Swaythling Cup efforts during the 1993 and 1995 World TT Championships under Cai Zhen Hua (the scary anti-spin rubber user) The...
  9. Since when did Kallberg change his name to Shallberry?

Yeah, why do they spell "Lin Yun Ju" (Taiwan) like that when the pronunciation is something like "Lin Win Ru" (according to how Adam says it). Sometimes Korean names are even harder to guess correctly from the spelling.
  10. Ball catcher net - your experience?

Sanwei's international website lists the product price at USD130, but shipping is only USD3 (three), meaning it costs less to ship it than a blade which costs USD7 to ship?!? Pretty sure that's wrong. I'm not placing an order yet until maybe December (as a reward for a personal goal I'm...
  11. Ball catcher net - your experience?

That's very interesting. I never thought about building one myself. I'll have a look into it. Sometimes I enjoy the fun of building things myself even though the resulting quality is like version 0.5 only. Currently I just use a few large empty cardboard boxes placed on the ground. Useful...
  12. Ball catcher net - your experience?

Got it! Yeah the return board would give a great feedback of the serve's spin quality. Looks like I know what to get for Christmas. :) Thanks very much for all these info.
  13. Aliexpress Singles Day 2024

Looks like you've been practicing against Gogo Yubari
  14. Ball catcher net - your experience?

Danke very much for the thorough explanation. I also worry about the balls hitting the brick wall too often and too hard. Can I ask a couple of things: 1) If I wanted to practice short services that exit the side of the table, near the front half of the table, can the catcher be positioned by...
  15. Aliexpress Singles Day 2024

Excuse the noob question (I've never shopped at AliExpress). Your cart shows stuff from a variety of stores. Do they get delivered to you in one package, or do you get a separate delivery from each store?
  16. Ball catcher net - your experience?

Do you have a link to the product? All I could find with PONGORI is a net. Also, any good or negative things you can say about the product and using such a product?
  17. Ball catcher net - your experience?

Hi, I'm thinking about getting a ball catcher net and would like to get experience-based advise from others who have used them before. I have never used them before. I want to use it for service practice and other things I can practice when alone, like flicks. 1) Is it fun to use these...
  18. Sanwei shoes - order issue

Andrea's / SANWEI's communication response is first class. It puts to shame many companies who try to avoid any fault whatsoever (and consider this is about just one pair of shoes). In addition, the openness of the communications, telling us what happened, what their weaknesses were, and the...
  19. Moral Question Here…

You did nothing wrong in my view, since you were losing. If you were winning and making fun of the kid then that's different. It's also good to feel a little bad for the 5yo.
  20. Sanwei shoes - order issue

TLDR; so if I normally wear UK size 10.5, what size Sanwei SkyStrike should I order?
