  1. Fake Table Tennis Rubbers?

Yes, I as only reacting to the price element. Of course, if you find tenergy or Viscaria for 10$ it's fake. But normal price for commercial H3 is about 70 RMB or so, compared to the £20 many charge, that's quite a difference. Same for bluefire, which you find without problem at 210/220 RMB (or...
  2. Fake Table Tennis Rubbers?

Completely untrue. I can find some rubbers with large (30% or more) discount. Normal price in China is different from normal price in Europe The best way is to ask someone local you can trust. And 99% of TT textile is fake.
  3. Rubber curving up?

This behaviour is typical of many rubbers, but the Donic ones I've had are the worst (Acuda S2). I take it it's because they're "boosted" and after they're glued and removed, the sponge shrinks. I think if it shrinks too much and becomes too small for the bat, you can use PO, or simply a layer...
  4. viscaria

BTY are still selling Viscaria in America from their official website, and stock is expected on 20/07. Apparently the stock never lasts long, so there is always a different due date soon after one has passed.
  5. What's your plans this summer?

Off to China next week to visit relatives. Will try and cram TT every other day or so!
  6. Messaging Inbox Expanded To 500

Thanks Guys. Great work on the site...
  7. Do you boost!!!!!!

Decoy (shouldn't it be Decoi?), that's harshly put, but I share your view. Manufacturers can do it and sell it (at a premium), but we can't... not really customer-friendly.
  8. Do you boost!!!!!!

I think boosting can have advantages at internediate level. 1) boosting Euro / Jap tensors is only for top players. A 2.1 Tenergy is plenty fast enough for most advanced players. 2) boosting old style rubbers (MarkV / Sriver style) is a good (disregarding ethical aspects) way to get cheap...
  9. Yasaka Mark V series Help

HPS means Hybrid Power Sponge, a sponge with built-in speed glue effect, so not slower, but faster than regular Mark V. As I understand, all the topsheet are the same. Mark V has hard(ish) sponge (about 45 degrees I think). Mark V GPS has softer sponge (about 38), more control, not quite as...
  10. What is Ding Ning Blade?

Probably H3 orange sponge. They play with the same rubbers as the men...
  11. Zhang Jike switched to Tenergy 05-FX!!

These pics are legit. The guy who took them worked at the DHS stall during WTTC. He is active on tennis-de-table.com and mytabletennis. Also we're not sure what sponge they use. It could still be something harder than the normal FX one. Having played with 05FX and 64, I found them very...
  12. Jun Mizutani Ghost Serve

C'est un service coupe qui ne sort pas de la table et revient vers le filet ;)
  13. Butterfly Tenergy 80 Rubber Review

I put the T80 on my BH and have started feeding with it. Straightforward replacement for the T64, a bit harder and not quite as fast. There seems to be a touch more control. Not sure for spin as I didn't really have a chance to check, but spin of T64 was more than enough for me, so I'm not...
  14. How to perform Kick Serve?

Having been subject to this serve from many teammates, the issue is not that you don't see it, but that it kicks and accelerates. So much that the most frequent outcome from this serve is the edging by the receiver trying to topspin it / attack with closed bat. You can see it's topspined, but...
  15. This info will save you a lot of money !

Can you please write in English so we can all share the information?
  16. Butterfly Tenergy 80 Rubber Review

Boost TS is supposed to 36 degrees hardness. I doubt the others are that soft. Sriver FX should be 38, 64FX should be around 40-42 but feeling softer. Never tried Calibra Sound.
  17. Butterfly Tenergy 80 Rubber Review

I believe MJ now has T80 on BH, keeping T64 on FH
  18. Butterfly Tenergy 80 Rubber Review

I have tested 64 and 05 on the same blade, bought from the same shop, and untuned. 05 is clearly the harder of the two. Will try T80 soon, but am expecting exactly what Carl described. Harder than 64 but softer than 05, spinnier than 64 but less than 05, slower than 64 but faster / more...
  19. Materials for the blade surface(3)

Dear Nexy, Your reputation (and the reputation of your blades) is established in all the TT-related forums I follow. You are an expert at what you do and your blades are clearly fulfilling a purpose. Thank you for sharing a part of your (vast) knowledge. Olio
  20. Which top players boost?

I think most if not all players in the top 10 (if not top 20 / 50) of most TT countries boost.
