  1. Xiom Omega 8?

I actually like Omega 8 China more than D09C except the durability. TO me, it seems that O8C offers more control for short ball and better support for big swing. It has more feels than D09C. The durability is not that good. I used it for about a month (60 hours?) on Alx pro and it shows quite...
  2. WTT Contender Zagreb 2025 Jun 24-29

It is almost sad to see almost no audience for these events. How long can WTT survive like this?
  3. The Pro's Equipment - Discussion!

It looks like Darko Jorgic was using a blade with yellow handle, not his Tibhar Darko Jorgic blade. Maybe a new Tibhar blade?

Is Miyu Nagasaki using Harimoto super alc now?
  5. I've trained with 20+ top coaches in the world and I still suck :) - AMA

40+ is not an old age to start learning again. I think the key to learn is to start with a slower pace. If you can find a good coach or club mate to teach you how to use your body properly, then that is the way to go. If not, watch some tutorial videos, learn forehand drive for a couple of...
  6. I've trained with 20+ top coaches in the world and I still suck :) - AMA

ALso, to improve in rating and match results, forehand and backhand strikes are a minor part of the game. Transition, timing, and moving are more important, but not many coaches will teach you that.
  7. I've trained with 20+ top coaches in the world and I still suck :) - AMA

From what I have observed, most coaches do not help adult amateurs that much. A good coach is not a top notched professional player, but one that can observe your problem and know your personalities to help you improve based on your skills and capabilities. Most coaches do not even bother to...
  8. Looking for feedback in my FH loop

It is weird that no one mentioned your timing. Your timing for looping backspin ball was usually too early. Quite often when you missed or failed to loop those balls, the key problem was that you swing your hand too early. not any other reasons.
  9. What's wrong with my loop?

I can see that you actually probably have played table tennis for a while, not really a rookie. Try not to backswing too early (wait until the ball bouncing from your side of table), and reduce your forward swing motion (maybe just 1/3 of current?). Focus on contacting the ball at the moment...
  10. What's wrong with my loop?

Practice generally makes perfect, but sadly, it is not the case for table tennis. Playing more can't really help an adult amateur much if he/she does not understand the fundamentals at all.
  11. What's wrong with my loop?

Many people here recommended to sync the body and hand for loop. I have different suggestion. It will take years to use body/leg movements to control your hand movement. If you want to learn spinning the ball, the key is you need to slow down and wait for the ball to come to you and then you...

  13. ITTF WTTC Finals Doha 2025, 5/17-25

Agreed on this. Emotional impact is well underrated in professional TT. But overall, Hugo has been studied hard by the CNT especially from the 7 games against LJK yesterday. If Hugo had won the first game, I assume it would be WCQ's locker room time in the break
  14. ITTF WTTC Finals Doha 2025, 5/17-25

Spinny opening, close table counter, That is the way to beat Hugo.
  15. ITTF WTTC Finals Doha 2025, 5/17-25

I think one day this locker room break will be written into the ITTF rules. At least no coach should accompany the player to the locker room. It is too much extra time for coaching.
  16. ITTF WTTC Finals Doha 2025, 5/17-25

This going to restroom for shirt change between matches when someone is 0:2 down should be banned. This is pretty unfair to other players. Changing your shirt on the court like Hugo is not inappropriate. I don't know why no professionals complain about it. Would FZD have lost to HT if he did not...
  17. ITTF WTTC Finals Doha 2025, 5/17-25

what a great tournament so far with so many heart beatttt matches so far.
  18. New Xiom Blades Series: Hugo Calderano and Lee Seungsoo (TMX / ALX)

My ALX has Omega 8 china on the forehand and Omega 8 pro on the backhand. It feels pretty easy to play with it. There is a little crispy feel when bouncing a ball. It does everything well and when you hit harder a little, the power will also surprise yourself. Omega 8 China is somehow similar to...
