  3. New Blade Journey and Jinshi KLC

I shall appreciate if you can share some review of the KLC Pro. I bought a regular KLC and don’t like it too much. It is good in low and high gears, ie close to net and mid/far from table, however the mid gears are mushy (when the KLC fibre about or just kick-in). Other than this, the speed...
  4. Friendship battle 2 national vs provincial

I played with B2 BS Prov and Nat. They are the same except that Nat is more consistent. I agree with you that B3 OS is a bit slower, less top end power and more difficult to hit through because of different sponge. I boosted the B3 and it is easier to hit through and seems faster. If you don’t...
  5. New Blade Journey and Jinshi KLC

Bought a Jinshi KLC and tried for a few sessions. I initially put a H3 national blue sponge on FH and it was a very bad idea. Slow, hard and not much ball feel, although quite spiny. I changed it to Nittaku Hammond Z2 and it's much better. The blade has the best control and forgiveness among...
  6. New Blade Journey and Jinshi KLC

Hopefully the video below is helpful. It seems a good blade but may be difficult to get.
  7. Friendship 729 battle 3

I use the B3 39 and it is hard. I apply 2 layers of booster and it becomes my best forehand rubber.
  8. Difference between 2.1 and 1.9mm on Dignics 05

For backhand or forehand? I used both 2.1 and 1.9 on backhand. 2.1 seems faster and has a higher ceiling by a tiny margin but more difficult to hit through. If you have good muscle and basic technique, there shouldn’t be any problem to use 2.1. For forehand, it’s better to go with 2.1mm.

  14. Darker Speed 90 or Imperial

I have one. 91g and bought it a few years ago. I don’t use it now because it doesn’t suit my playing style but I wold like to keep it for fun.
  15. Dry boosting -- safe boosting.

Interesting. Booster oil changes the sponge chemically and this method changes it physically. I have the following concerns. Would the repeated pressure affect the elasticity or even damage the sponge? Since the pressure is applied unevenly, would this affect the flatness of the sponge? Last...
  16. Friendship 729 battle 3

Hi Zwill, what sponge hardness you’re using and what do you think about the speed? I have been using 39 deg B3 for 5 months and with 2 layers of booster. I agree with your review and very happy with the B3. However I wish that it can be faster. Speed-wise I think it is same as T05 and slower...

  18. Using D05 for a week, it too fast and hard to control... how to use it ?

Agree. If this still doesn’t work, try to use the D05 as BH or use T05 instead.
  19. Friendship 729 battle 3

I have been using B3 39 ° in FH for 3 months. It is very good in spin and control but slower than rubbers like D05. The sponge also feels rather dull and difficult to hit through. However I boosted it with 2 layers of Haifa white oil last week and played it this morning. The rubber feels total...
  20. Loki Honor ALC Review

This journey never ends because of new products coming every month or so. I am thinking to try the Victas V22 and may be the new softer Nittaku Z2.
