You are confusing spin with speed...And yes blade contributes to speed & spin.

Anti-spin or long pips are defensive rubbers, no make sense using as offensive because really you don't have any advantage. Short pips players doesn't like low balls nor long or short balls because these rubbers don't have enough grip if they takes the ball under the table, only way short pips...

I'ts easy grab the ball with your index and thumb , make a light pressure to the rubber, if ball rotates rubber still have friction if not you have a free anti-spin....

You need more skills and right strategy, if not try anti spin....not only all is the rubber & blade!!! BTW what's your strategy? N.B. backhand side as my point of view isn't the best way to play with short pips....

If it's against long pips the best rubbers are short pips & anti spin.

Dear Diego, short pips and anti are the strongest weapons against long pips if LP are like now with grip, strategy could be short and low balls & ball placement to avoid strong attacks, also be prepared to not play close to the table and make strongs & low backspins because SP not have the same...
