you can get a yinhe 989 if you dont want to modify your blade for backhand. its a twiddler's blade, but i think it will work well enough for rpb.

sponge separated from unused (presumely dead) rubbers would work well however, in exchange of comfort the sponge will mute your feeling of the blade to a degree. maybe thinner or softer sponges might circumvent this problem?
