  1. Sabine Winter switches to antispin

Seems like Winter has found the sweet spot on playing with anti. Incredible, just incredible.
  2. Overall Technique focus

These are two contradictory ideas. How can you predict by scrutinizing shoulder position, balance, and so on? That’s reactive. You don’t get to see such small body movements clearly enough to predict where the ball will go. Often, a slight tweak of the wrist is enough to change the ball’s...
  3. Beginner defender (LP chopper): equipment + tactics vs strong loopers?

Since you are going to change your baldebto a slower one, why would you use Hurricane unboosted? Might as well get D05 or Vega China/+. Can't say anything about gameplay oe strategy as I have never played as a chopper/ defender. If I must give an advice, it will be about the need to be more...
  4. Backhand modern weight transfer technique: loading on dominant leg. What do you think or prefer?

I didn't use FH tho. It was pure backhand. Ah, you thought I was the one in front of camera? I was the one in red shirt, serving. Lol. We were lost in translation.
  5. Backhand modern weight transfer technique: loading on dominant leg. What do you think or prefer?

Agreed XD Tho you kinda underestimated me. My feet aren't slow, they are nailed.
  6. New FH Rubber (Glayzer, Fastarc G1, Omega VII Pro)

Get Glayzer. G1 is good but Glayzer is easier to use, imho. Even better get C1 or Rozena. Instead of focusing on your rubber, you should shift your mindset. Don’t compare your spin level against weaker players, try to see whether your heavy loop can trouble stronger opponents instead.
  7. Backhand modern weight transfer technique: loading on dominant leg. What do you think or prefer?

I'd say mine is the modern one all things considered. At least I think so
  8. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

The temptation is just too much. For now I'm gonna lay low with the equipment due to the equipment ban. First lady's order.
  9. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

My thought process at that time was that since I had used a 5-ply blade before, this one wouldn’t be difficult to adjust to. Everything was fine in the warm-up. Loops were easy to execute, and counterloops were a breeze. It wasn’t until the first loop kill that everything went downhill. It was...
  10. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

Participated in a tournament over the past two days and reached Quarterfinal with my trusted ITC Premier XR. Right before the quarterfinal game, I didn't know what came over me, but I decided to change my blade with a brand new in box Loki K5. Took off the rubbers from XR, only to realize that...
  11. Match tactics

Well, it'd be hard to improve then if you are too afraid to take risks.
  12. Match tactics

If it’s a sparring match, just try to counterloop. Winning or losing doesn’t matter in sparring. Improving your game and building confidence should be your main objectives. Start slowly. There’s no need to counterloop hard like the pros. Just guide the ball with control. In my opinion, we often...
  13. Match tactics

I have watched the first video and well, the only tactic you need to do is to slow loop the ball to your friend's forehand. Even if your friend somehow counterloops it, you just need to put your block on your forehand side. He keeps attacking the forehand side everytime he puts power behind his...
  14. Looking for a Fh Rubber

H3N comes factory boosted tho. You might be referring to H3. And yes, I was a long time H3 user. I used to change my rubber once a month back when I was still competing. That’s exactly why I don’t understand the idea of using H3 to improve technique. Whoever is promoting this discourse is...
  15. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

Unfortunately, we don't have spinsight here. Yes, it's not any more difficult than blocking the loops from Dignics, Tenergy, or Platinum DNA. The level of my opponent matters more than the rubber when it comes quality, really.
  16. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

Then as I said before, it's your mental-block. Spin and speed are the same and throw angle wouldn't be the same for each shot. Coz a friend of mine finds it easier to block H3 loop.
  17. 35th ITTF-ATTU Asian Cup 2026, Haikou, 2/4-8

That could be true too. Several times, Tomo anticipated shots that were usually made by right-handers.
  18. Looking for a Fh Rubber

Then why do you boost if you prefer strict teacher that punishes you when you do it wrong? Boosting softens the rubber hence makes it easier to play. Kinda loses the purpose of a strict teacher there, doesn't it? Might as well use softer and more forgiving rubbers. We are amateurs, we don't...
  19. 35th ITTF-ATTU Asian Cup 2026, Haikou, 2/4-8

Tomo was losing the point everytime he went reactive against WCG. He needs to take the initiative more against Wang, as Wang's shot quality is so much better than LSD's. Tomorrow can defeat LSD playing reactively, but WCQ pounces on even a slightly soft ball. Best way to deal with WCQ is by...
